djjd just tweeted "Does a dog have buddha nature?", for which it appears the accepted answer is "Mu". He's trying to get a cow theme across for this clue
Alright.... let's look at the question a bit deeper
A light that isn't too tight but fits would flicker or flash
A city of finished fire definitely does lead to Ashville; however, fun fact: There is a city named Centralia in Pennsylvania that's been burning underground for about half a century. The video game Silent Hill is supposed to take place there.
Djjd put what he said in quotes "Does a dog have buddha nature"
I googled it seeing the marks, and many websites popped up
A monk asked Chao-chou: "Does a dog have Buddha-nature or not?" Chao-chou replied: "He does not."
-- A Zen koan
Or, as the poster above put, "Mu". Essentially this could mean "Mindless.", "No mind.", maybe even "It doesn't matter". The "Mu!" could be directed at the questioner, the question or the answer. The answer is as much a koan as the question.

Edit: Apparently, the answer is yes. It is a basic tenant of Buddhism that all living things can achieve enlightenment.
As far as the original clue is concerned, I keep coming back to Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band. Lights (aka bulbs aka cheeks???) don't fit right, but do. Just a thought...
EDIT: I don't think they've been on the Farm before, but they should...
Eventually Mu “was completely obliterated in almost a single night”[7]: p. 44: after a series of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, "the broken land fell into that great abyss of fire" and was covered by "fifty millions of square miles of water."[7]: p. 50
Edit: misread the clue, thought it said "finished by fire"
I understood the mispailled cow thing to be responding to someone's katzenjammer comment (mew is what a cat says) and therefore wouldn't necessarily expect it to figure into this clue. As for the dog tweet I got no ideas on that one.
Now I'm thinking zen, mindless and atlantis. These are just things that keep running around my head. Hmm there is actually an underwater city out At lake watauga, near Boone. Old Crow were discovered there.
I would like to make this the Avett Brothers, but they aren't from Asheville. They are from Concord (pretty much Charlotte). I think I read in another thread that Warren Haynes was out. If anybody can make this one Acoustic Syndicate I would be extremely excited.
Chris Kuroda, the lighting wizard for phish, has worked the lights at the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam in asheville...he's also worked with the black crowes, aerosmith, and r kelly
maybe this is where the lights part of the clue comes in
