Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
CoS has Stevie Wonder as 'expected' at Bonnaroo, which I think is legitimate enough to merit starting this thread. Stevie is one of my very favorite musicians of all time, and I know that you all love him too. And if you aren't extremely excited about Stevie at Bonnaroo this year, watch this:
A Thieve's Parade 2/24 Conspirator 2/26 Kevin Smith 3/11 Keller 3/17 Papadosio 3/18 JJ Grey 3/25 Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer 3/26 Toubab Krewe 3/27 O'Death 4/11 Budos Band 4/22 EOTO 4/28 Summer Camp 5/6-29 All Good
I saw him a few days after the passing of MJ and it was an amazing show. You could tell he was very inspired that evening, I highly recommend that every check him out.
Coun't me in. I've never had the pleasure and I want. Bad.
Ditto.
This weekend, the boy and I were at a thrift store and he found a vinyl copy of "Talking Book" by Stevie. I was, and still am, very jealous that he found it before I did. (Best $8.99 ever spent.)
If Stevie is at the What I will wait all day in the pit line.
I highly doubt he'll be anywhere else if he plays. I stand by my assessment that he won't headline unopposed, but I think he could be a late, mostly unopposed pre-headliner (a la Jack Johnson in 2008), or an early, opposed headliner (a la The Beastie Boys in 2009). Unless there's some horrible conflict that I absolutely can't miss, I will definitely check out at least part of his set, no matter when he plays.
Stevie's an interesting case. He's a way bigger than people on Inforoo generally realize. And while I wouldn't be surprised to see him do a non-headlining set, I also wouldn't be surprised to see his name at the very top of the billing come Tuesday.

I'm very happy that Stevie Wonder is expected at Bonnaroo. I don't care what the naysayers say, he would be an awesome headliner. There is just so much material for him to pull from.Talking Book, Songs in the Key of Life and Innervisions are such great records end to end. I really hope he plays some songs from his Little Stevie Wonder days, like Uptight and Fingertips (pt. 2).Most people don't even realize he was signed to motown before he was even 13 years old.
When I saw him in Houston, it was one of the best concert experiences of my life. He played for over three hours, and really connected with the audience, told some beautiful stories. He had a kickin band: backup keys, two guitars, backup singers, drummer, percussionist and the amazing Nathan Watts on bass. They played most of Innervisions, and plenty of other songs from throughout his career. Here's the full setlist:
01. Love's in need of love today (duet w/ Aisha, band joins in) 02. Too high 03. Visions 04. Living for the city 05. Master blaster 06. Funky clav jam/voicebox 07. Good love/knocking boots/tighten up/farther on up the road/ 08. Higher ground 09. Golden lady 10. Ribbon in the sky/he never sleeps he never slumbers 11. Overjoyed 12. Solo piano interlude/Giant Steps 13. You & I 14. The days of wine & roses 15. Send one your love 16. How will I know? 17. If you really love me 18. (Percussion feature) Don't you worry 'bout a thing 19. Signed sealed delivered 20. Signed Sealed Delivered country-version/behind closed doors/I ain't gonna stand for it 21. My cherie amour 22. For once in my life 23. I was made to love her 24. Do I do 25. Sir duke 26. I wish 27. You are the sunshine of my life 28. Superstition 29. What the fuss? 30. I just called to say I love you 31. As 32. Fever 33. As
He probably won't headline unopposed, but he could, and would be one of the best headline sets in Bonnaroo history.

I was surprised my account here still works. I swore off Bonnaroo a few years back because I went to so many and there are tons of other great festivals in the US these days. All of these lineup rumors have really gotten me interested this year. I have the feeling that the '10 Roo lineup is going to blow everything else in the circuit away.
Anyway, I believe Mr Wonder will be one of the headlining acts at this years Glastonbury. Considering glastos held overseas I doubt their promoters would have put anything in his contract to keep him from playing fests stateside. Always good news. Stevies getting a little too old to be doing the touring grind, so I'm sure he's gonna knock away a few fests as they're always better paydays than your individual club shows.
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!
Stevie Wonder just confirmed on Consequence of Sound twitter page !!
FYI - They confirmed some other big bands/headliners too that myspace hasn't announced yet, so don't go there if you want to hold out for the band by band announcement.
My ticket will now be purchased because of this, and this alone.....I cant wait....I can die a happy man after I witness the show that combines my FAVORITE musician ever and my favorite festival ever.........lets get EXCITED about this one...I hope he plays ' Talking Book ' from front to back........see everyone there.....
