"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves, heres Tom with the weather..." - Bill Hicks
"Um, hi, yes, I'd like to order a My Morning Jacket late night special with some Monsters of Folk on the side. Hold the Conor Oberst solo show, though. Thank you."
I was going to make some glib comment about wearing one of the KoL heavy plaid shirts to their set, and not knowing whether I had passed out from the heat or from realizing I had spent as much on some rock fashion as I did on my festival ticket; but then I realized I would be hating on a band I'm really not that familiar with.
Plus I'm a little more tolerant of them as outside of checking them out based on the posts here, I haven't once heard "Sex on Fire", or "Use Somebody".
Although I think I can sympathize with those of you who have been barraged by them recently… it reminds me of the whole album "What's the Story (Morning Glory)" being played to death for more than a year (and the last time I think I listened to radio).

you're right. i just found a link a second before you posted this too.
that is stupid. i was going to defend them for that and claim that all bands sell clothing and other items with their names on it..........but a fancy line where it costs that much money is just dumb. I guess some people will buy it tho
