The rental cost of each unit is $750 plus a $300 damage deposit. Damage deposit will be completely refunded following the weekend of the festival as long as there is no damage to the tent. The units do not include tickets to the festival, so you will need to purchase those separately.
I am surprised at the cost. I cannot expect many people purchasing this upgrade. VIP would be more enticing if it included a tent rental like this, but I cannot justify putting down over a grand to USE a tent for 4 days.
Seems kind of steap for what you get. Roth did something like this last year as part of one of the vip packages, but the tents had real furniture, power, and a daily maid service. Looks like a good idea for people flying in or something, but I think it either needs to be much cheaper or include more.

I can't imagine buying a tent and two air mattresses for $750, much less paying that to rent them for four days, not to mention taking the chance of someone vandalizing it and losing a $300 deposit. But I'm sure all the new KOL fans, accustomed as they are to buying outrageously priced band-branded crap, will jump at the chance to pay that. ;D

At least w/ the Coachella tent upgrade you get something. They are basically hotel rooms and the cost includes tickets, transportation to stages and meals.
i worked for the good life at rothbury last year and some of those people were paying upwards of 10 grand to stay in a teepee. But there were other perks, such as a 24 hr concierge that would get you anything at anytime. anything. one guy even had someone drive to muskegon every morning to get him a certain paper
For 200 per person, I don't have to set up or take down my tent, it's guaranteed close to centeroo, I will be able to park close by no matter when I arrive, and they've guaranteed me weather-proof accommodations. And who knows, the on-site tent staff might be cute. "Yes, I have a question...does this bed feel comfortable to you...?"
I don't think it's that bad of a deal if you've got 4 ppl in your group.

My friends and I had thought about it - until they announced the price..... That is just a stupid amount. We will deal with struggling to put up a campsite (none of us ever camp) rather than pay that.

asking your neighbors for help is a good ice breaker...

It is! Last year we got help from our neighbours, and from random people wandering through Of course it helps that we have a 25 year old cute blond with us - she attracts all kind of helpful attention!

concierge would be getting me clove cigarettes... the ones they don't sell in the USA anymore and I can't find online to ship to USA(Except Ebay) and this will be my first 'Roo without cloves.

how much extra space would be available outside the tent? Enough for an ez up, chairs, maybe even another small tent? Paying for the guaranteed spot could be worth it with 6 people at the site.
those tents are really nice and if i had money to blow, i'd def get one. but 750$ + the deposit is uber ridiculous...you really could basically get an RV for that price.
You know, if you were in a position where money was no object... Nice tent w/ all the trimmings, sleeps 4, guaranteed near Centeroo, just pick up and leave when you're done. All for the price of a (very) good bottle of wine...

concierge would be great!
Wait they don't sell cloves anymore? What's this world coming to?
6/18: Phish in Hartford 6/25: Phish in Camden 7/2-7/4: Nateva 7/17: God Street Wine at Irving Plaza 7/23-7/25: String Cheese at Red Rocks!! 8/17-8/18: Phish at Jones Beach 9/3: Rush at PNC
This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.
The price is absolutely ridiculous! So many people are going to get screwed over on their deposits. These white designer tents are going to look filthy within hours.
