I'd like to sign up for these, but I'm disappointed with the level of traffic this subforum gets. A thread started in the main Troo Music Lounge forum gets more views in a few hours than most of the band-a-day threads got all of last year. I had fun writing these last year, but I'm not sure if I want to go through the effort if no one is going to read it. Can we just get rid of this subforum, post the band-a-day threads in the Troo Music Lounge, and have an index thread stickied to the top which can easily lead you to the band-a-day thread for a given artist?
Sorry, Katy Mae. I know they are your favorite band as well, but this one has my name written all over it. It kinda helps make up for the fact that I (*gulp*) won't actually be there. I promise I'll do a good job.
And I'll also take Dan Deacon Ensemble and Dr. Dog unless someone else feels strongly about either one.

well i know if I had to chose someone to do it, it would definitely be you! I know you'll do a good job. plus i'm probably far to lazy for this anyways.

I guess I could do Dave Rawlings Machine. I'm not really obsessive enough about any of the people on the lineup, so a lot of it would just be info straight from other sites.
He spoke at my college and I went. It was awesome. He did start things off with a Physical Challenge. People were pulled from the audience and paired off - one throwing a ball to their partner, who was trying to catch it with a cup held between their teeth.
Judging from a lot of things he said about his ongoing struggles with OCD, I don't think he'd exactly want to be in residence on the farm...
