Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
UsMagazine.com has an exclusive peek at Playboy's March issue, where the singer, 32, dishes on everything from his past relationships with Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston to his dream mate.
He dubs 29-year-old Simpson (whom he dated from 2006 to 2007) "a drug."
"And drugs aren't good for you if you do lots of them," he says, adding, "Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me."

"Sexually it was crazy. That's all I'll say," he continues. "It was like napalm, sexual napalm. Did you ever say, 'I want to quit my life and just f*****' snort you? If you charged me $10,000 to f*** you, I would start selling all my s*** just to keep f****** you.'"

He didn't share bedroom details about Aniston, who turns 41 Thursday.
But he denied reports that he penned the tune "Heartbreak Warfare" about her. "That woman would never use heartbreak warfare," he tells Playboy. "That woman was the most communicative, sweetest, kindest person."

He also denied that Twitter obsession led to their split last year.
"There was a rumor that I'd been dumped because I was tweeting too much," he says. "That wasn't it, but that was a big difference. The brunt of her success came before TMZ and Twitter. I think she's still hoping it goes back to 1998. She saw my involvement in technology as courting distraction. And I always said, 'These are the new rules.'"

Oh, and how many women has he bedded since their break-up?
"I'm going to say four or five. No more," he tells Playboy. "But even if I said 12, that's a reasonable number. So is 15. Here's the thing: I get less a** now than I did when I was in a local band. Because now I don't like jumping through hoops."
These days, he says he is hesitant to settle down.
"I hate being the heartbreaker. Hate it," he says. "If I date somebody and it doesn't work out, it's another nightmare for me."

Of course, any interview with Mayer would not be complete without an Us Weekly reference.
Asked about his future, he says, "From now on I’m just going to pretend that people really dig the s*** out of me. I've been trying to prove to people I'm not a douche bag by not dating, by keeping my name out of Us Weekly. That's f***** up, man. I'm not dating. I'm not even f******. So now I'm going to experiment with 'f*** you.' In 2010 my goal is to get more mentions in Us Weekly than ever."

he caused an uproar over these comments and has since been trying to fix it. he gave a tearful apology on stage and has apparently stopped "tweeting" for a while. i like his musical talent (John Mayer Trio = amazing, where the light is double cd is awesome too) but he's being douchey at times.

Yeah, he seemed pretty shook up about it when he apologized at the Nashville show on Wednesday.. and then he played a crazy guitar solo, so it was all worth it!

I just read what was posted here. I didn't realize that the most controversial stuff was left out of this post. The reason he caused an uproar is because he said he has "racist balls" and said "nigger" at some point. He didn't say it in an obviously racist way but he still said it and it caused a lot of problems for him.
"MAYER: My two biggest hits are 'Your Body Is a Wonderland' and 'Daughters.' If you think those songs are pandering, then you'll think I'm a douche bag. It's like I come on very strong. I am a very…I'm just very. V-E-R-Y. And if you can't handle very, then I'm a douche bag. But I think the world needs a little very. That's why black people love me.
PLAYBOY: Because you're very?
MAYER: Someone asked me the other day, 'What does it feel like now to have a hood pass?' And by the way, it's sort of a contradiction in terms, because if you really had a hood pass, you could call it a n***** pass."
my point exactly. maybe on the Entertainment Tonight site, or TMZ or some crap like that, but doesn't belong on my bonnaroo site. No offense to OP, just not our cup of tea.

Hi zen, it's nice to meet you and welcome to the board!
We talk about an array of subjects here at inforoo ranging beyond the scope of music. John Mayer is a musician so talking about him is within the realm of things we discuss but there are other areas of the board where we also discuss politics, movies, television, current events, we play games, and so on and so forth. But you probably already knew that since this is "your bonnaroo site". (I thought inforoo was for everyone?)
I don't care about who John Mayer is or is not having sex with, I just found this article interesting because he is always viewed as a ladies man but I think this interview displays another side of him and the degrading attitude he has towards women. I would think of it as more of a display of politically incorrectness as opposed to whatever it is that you're trying to declare it as. I also think that it is interesting to see that Playboy is going to publish this interview seeing as how they are a well established and respected publication.
I think it is important to remember that although it may not be your cup of tea, it may be someone else's therefore I believe it would be unfair to declare it to not be of interest to anyone.
I'm pretty sure that Superbek knows my routine well enough that she doesn't take this post too seriously. zenfnp however does not know me and took my post out of context.

Talk about taking things too seriously. Something like yourself, for example.
Your bonnaroo site? I guess we were just keeping it warm for you until you got here LAST MONTH. Your post count is in the double digits and you are making comments like that toward someone whose post count is in the thousands. Bek is even a winter resident who posts when the board is empty and slow.
Listen.
Welcome.
We are happy to have you here.
I love your ABB avatar.
Hang out a bit. Get to know us. Read some of the silliness and enjoy. That will give you a better idea of what "our cup of tea" really is.
But don't pass judgment on what does or does not belong on the board. You haven't been around long enough for that. (You should see some of the mindless drivel that I post. ) We'll see if you're still here in Sept or even return when the lineup is out next Jan. I hope that you are still posting here then.

I say playing in the Headhunters should get you a hood pass, but if that doesn't nothing will. John Mayer is just a doofey dude, i don't think he's really trying to be offensive or flamboyant, he's just kinda an idiot.

What do you mean poor Michael Franti...
not only does Franti get to tour with a guitar God, but he probably agrees with most of what Mayer says.
Mayer might say some stupid stuff, but it doesn't always mean he is serious, and at least he says what he thinks even if it isn't always what people want to hear.

You misunderstand... People have a right to dig who they dig. I really mean all the press being about the PB interview instead of what great music they play. It dampens things a little. I have seen John at Bonnaroo with Herbie Hancock and he really was great. Franti is more fun though and they are lucky to be touring with each other!

did not mean to offend anyone. and I certainly did not mean to imply that it was my inforoo site. bad choice of words in the middle of a bad day that I was having and I apologize.
I just am not one who cares one iota about celebrity gossip, but you are right, we all have a right to discuss whatever interests us.
and no, until a few weeks ago I did not know that this site existed. I have found it to be really interesting and that there seem to be some really cool people who post.
So before I get hauled off to the gallows, forgive my hormonal outburst, please.
