The ending to "Kill The Lights" has Black Crowes jam written all over it. ;D
Or maybe a Dead-style "Goodnight Rose" jam? But yeah.
Man, I love Ryan Adams (like love love) and I am really trying to get into this record, but it just feels so throwaway to me. Some of the lyrics are...oof.
Gonna give it another spin today and see what happens.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

His recent run of douchery has been pretty disappointing to me, so I guess I'm either just waiting for him to start being good again or for him to stop being a douche.

I think the thread got deleted off of the Archives. Basically he threw a bitch fit and shut it down because some people got their records like a week late. He just did it in spectacularly douchey fashion and rubbed me the wrong way.

Listening to DRA live at Exit/In from 1999. Such an awesome show. Heartbreaker songs. Destroyer songs. Whiskeytown songs. Songs recorded for Heartbreaker that we never got. Awesome covers of awesome songs. Oh yeah, and Gillian Welch. It's basically my wet dream. Great sound, too.
I assume Sooper knows/has it, but I'm tossing this up for Milk, assuming he don't got it.

I guess.
I kind of hate how anytime he lets his social media guard down like he did for about half an hour on twitter the other day, there's always an indefinite silence from him.
