At the Ryman for two nights.... really? I might be willing to check them out again if they play there.
It is possible but it will be nigh impossible to get tickets to a 3500 seat venue. Alpharetta held 12k, and it was almost impossible, and upwards of 200 dollars for lawns there.
That being said I WILL go camp out way in advance in front of the Ryman to get my tickets for this show.
True dat. It'll be a lottery, no doubt... don't they usually require you to be present at the Ryman box office for that?
Ryman BO is typically first come first served, if it happens I will find out though. I would certainly camp out downtown from 7:00PM to 10:00AM for those tickets.

Yep Infocreek is gonna be at Closeby. I believe Wolfman Jess is coming down. Wolfaroo is gonna be there. We've got several people going that aren't on the boards. I'll be at Closeby on Wednesday night setting up camp. Let me know if you're coming and I'll try to make a big space. I'll have a few ezups for a common area. I'm gonna try to get us under the trees which shouldn't be a probem if I go up a day early.

Actually I will be bringing my kids and hoteling it. I do plan on saying hi to everyone though. I promised them a big show this summer, and this is what they wanted. One of the best things about Phish is that they are still mindblowing even if you are sober.

Yup, yup - doing Alpine, too. Do you have any camping plans for AV? Obviously, there aren't many "good" options for the venue.
I'll be at Camp Closeby for DC, too. We'll probably be there early on Thursday. QS - what's your take on when to get there? I'm up for a InfoCreek enclave, if that's going to be doable.

aquariumdrunk, I'm not quite sure what you're asking. I'm going on Wednesday to avoid any traffic. Phish plays Telluride on the 10th and it's a 24 hour drive to Indiana according to Google. So, people on tour won't get there til the 12th I'd say unless they're hardcore.
Last year, when I camped for DMB, I got there the day of the show and would have had a really shitty camping spot at Clsoeby if my friends hadn't saved me a spot. But the worst spot there is like the best spot at Bonnaroo. You'll be fine if you go up on Thursday. I've never seen the camp sell out.

That's exactly what I was looking for! Just wanted a little insight from someone who has been there before. I'm hoping to get a pretty early start on Thursday, coming from Chicago. If I have my way, getting there around 10:00 or so.
Just trying to get my ducks in a row before getting into town!
Also, if anyone has any camping real estate they might be interested in sharing/spreading the costs on for Alpine, shoot me a message!
