We are now about 70 odd days away from Roo. I know each year that people inevitably pull up Google Earth photos etc. I am off work tomorrow and will try and get all the stuff together and start doing some early surveilence I am sure that there will be some activities. In like another 40 days we know from previous years that everyone is arriving and setting up everything from tents to stage to whatnot and a few portopotties( and I imagine they are so sparkly clean at this point in time). Plus inevitably someone will start scoping the property on a drive-by etc. They will probably though at this point in time have to start marking parking lines etc. and doing general property surveying. And I am sure that there will be some equipment trickling in as well. This thread should become the official Ministry Of Information thread. Also they are going to probably be working on any drainage issues etc. on the property if we combine that with maps we should get an idea of what changes are going down.

I always try to do a "festival set-up" thread with pictures and videos of the progress of the site. Since I live right next door to roo and pass it everyday, its pretty easy to spot when some activity is starting and to grab a few pictures.
Last year I did a couple of videos and plan on doing some more this year. Each year my chronicle of the set up gets a little better and a little more in depth.
Be looking for the thread to start around the 2nd or 3rd week of May.

Even better then me I try and shirk resposibility at every point possible. Nah on a serious note I was just trying to see when the ball would be rolling. And get an initial fell for things. By the way roofanintn does Beans Creek carry the Bonnaroo Wine year round? I have only been able to get a bottle once but it was pretty good. Also I read the winery has bands play there throughout the summer. Would really like to check it out sometime. I could go down and get a hotel and take a nice relaxing day in your fair city. Everytime I get to Manchester for some odd reason it's crowded.

Yeah, they sell it year round until they run out. I think they only vint a specific amount each year.
They do music on the lawn the second Sat of each month throughout the summer. Its a pretty good time. you can BYOB and food, or buy a bottle. And, its free!

On the 8th day god created phish on the 9th he created bonnaroo. I remember looking at these pics last year and how excited I got. Thanks so much for all the memories and reminding me just how awesome bonnaroo is! :-)
I can probably swing by the Bonnaroo grounds on my way to the GZA in Murfreesboro on Wednesday. I doubt anything is being done right now, though. The weather has only just now began to get warmer and clearer.
We've went from sunshine, to rain, to snow flurries, then back to rain and sunshine in the span of like, a week.
roofan, I am shocked I tell ya! Shocked that you have not posted new pictures of roo site with that large tent that they just just put up. I took 2 pictures yesterday but they are poor quality. Don't make me go back out there and take more.
Instead of dirt and poison, we have rather chosen to fill our hives with honey and wax; thus furnishing mankind with the two noblest of things, which are sweetness and light.
i drove by today on I-24 and noticed about 5 work trucks parked next to the road and noticed that the "watch" tower was up...not sure if it always is, but this seems to be the first time i have noticed it

a new tent!!!! Is it a staging tent or an actual stage?? Or is it something totally new..... Ohhhhh man the speculation begins!
I hope they mow the grass closer to June this year. Last year was still a bit too high in our area and the year before that it was insanely tall.
Roofan: a few years back you had a thread that was a chronical of these two fellas who came all the way too Manchester weeks before the fest and camped out. Eventually you were able to get them tix. Have you kept on touch with them? Do you have a key word I could use to search for that thread?
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
