As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

Are the Tents and stages actually de-constructed every year and rebuilt? Why? Isn't the Centaroo portion of the Farm now owned outright? It just seems so costly to re-do everything each year, especially so since the stage placements are in the same same spot. Why don't they build them permanently in place, at least the WHAT and WHICH and the three big tents. This would so help reduce their recurring overhead costs. Somebody - what's the reasoning behind this?
I really don't know for certain, but I believe the farm is actually a farm the rest of the year. Permanent structures in a field used for actual farming would cause problems for the land owners. But I could be wrong.
The arch, the fountain, the Fuse Barn, the adobe post office, the watchtower and the Sonic Stage sign stay up year round.
I have heard that they have tossed around the idea of building a permanent stage at the Which Stage area and using the grounds for other events. To this point, I think it is only talk though. I know they would like to hold other events there, I just dont think they have had anything come about yet.
The post office held up so well!!! I saw some pictures of it from early March, and it's in almost perfect condition!!! (the rest of the farm, on the other hand, looks naked and drab) If I have the time and remember, I could post those on here! I worked on the post office last year, pre-festival volunteering.

I don't know this for sure but I would bet they rent them. I would think it is significantly cheaper to rent them for a week then to buy them. Plus even if they bought similar stages they would have to take them down every year to prevent them from getting destroyed by heat, cold and whatever. Building something permanent and weather resistant would cost a ton.

I imagine if they did leave the tents up year round, they would have to maintain them and I can see that as being a big PIA.
I bet renting for a few weeks and paying some people to assemple and de-assemble is way cheaper then buying all the tents and paying to maintain them all year.
the bought the farm back in 2007 i think and from what ive heard the tents, the magical bonnaroo arch and the barriers are up yr round and matience is done sometime in mid may.

I've driven through Manchester in early May last year and stopped by Bushy Branch to look at the Farm. The only thing that was up was the arch and the fountain from what I could see from the road.
this is the site for the grounds where bonnaroo is held. you can see what is there year round: the arch, the fountain, the barn, the watch tower, and some tiki hut

^ that site is awesome, I just spent like 30 mins on it looking at the walk through. It'd be sweet to go up to the watchtower, but both years I've been to 'roo it hadn't occurred to me to try. Has anyone been up there? I assume they won't let a regular person up there, but maybe I can hand my camera off to one of the volunteers and they can take a few pictures for me......
I found the site a while ago and definitely found it fun to look through all the walkthroughs of the grounds and whatnot.
I've also wondered about the watch tower. it's looked like its been fenced off before, but i also feel like ive seen pictures taken from up there. Are we allowed, or just staff?

No. I heard from a very reliable source that MTV owns the farm.
I am the quality manager at a manufacturing facility and the audit is for ISO9000 certification. I have one every year in the spring....and yeah it sucks!!!!

I've been caulking cheap rubber baseboards all over the office since I came in today......without a caulk gun. My right thumb has become more callous than a hobo's feet .
This is how I look at it: "Yea, it's sucking today, but in 40 days I'll be youknowhwere "
We're all thankful that you post these pictures for us to look at, so whenever you can will sufice.

how cool is that that your mom has a wii, though? I can't even get my mother to use a computer. I have offered to buy her one and set it up, even pay for the internet access. She's a little OCD, though, and unplugs everything every day on her way out the door, so I'm sure in her eyes its just one more thing to have to unplug.
