So, I bartend at a place that gets a lot of regulars returning every weekend. One evening one of these regulars comes in and asks me the name of that music festival i go to every year. Apparently her twenty year-old daughter who hasn't been before won the Odwalla Contest, but this woman didn't want her to go because she just assumed she would be raped or violated. I told her she absolutely didn't have to worry about anything like that, her daughter would be fine, etc. Hope she lets her go.

I already have my ticket taken care of. I bought it the day they went on sale because I'm sick like that! My Christmas present to myself. This is for the poor souls who are still trying to win a ticket to get to Roo.

??? If the girl is 20, I wouldn't think her mother gets a say in what she does. She's an adult. She doesn't need her mom's permission to go.

That's what I gotta tell my mom. I just tell her I'm going camping...but now that I'm flying down, dunno how to tell her without having a fit. I think she'd be scared of me flying down alone, but...I might just not tell her. lol Give my flight info to a friend if anything were to ever happen, and then just leave for my "long weekend camping trip".
In the end though, I'm paying for myself and I'm an adult, and I want to experience things while I still can. No idea if I'll even be able to go next year cause I'm applying to nursing schools and if I start in Spring, then that means I'd be in class next summer.

I won a big one last year so it does really happen. COS is one to try, the odds are in your favor as there are fewer than 400 entries so far. I'm always on the lookout after last year, so I'll post as I find.
Make sure you read all of the rules carefully. Sometimes you can enter once a day, sometimes as many times as you like and sometimes only once. If you don't follow the rules your entry might become invalid.
I think for the Rolling Stone one you can only enter once.
I think if I won that I would try to sell it (if possible)
It depends on the type of contest. If you win tickets, gear etc that's cool but if you win a package it's not possible.
I meant to mention that it looks like the RS one is 3 nights accommodation. We won one like that last year which meant we missed all of Sunday so...if the only way you can get to the farm is something like this the cool but if you're a roo diehard it can kind of suck.
