I live in Smyrna, TN and the road leading to my apartments is flooded!!! Nobody in and nobody out. As far as the farm goes, IDK. I don't believe Manchester is getting hit hard as Nashville and the surrounding areas, but it just keeps raining and doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon : (
I'm in Murfreesboro. Some of the storms hit north in Nashville area and some went south of me to the Manchester area. btw, bonnaroo will now be a four day pool party
Oh god. I can only imagine how much craziness would ensue if that kind of flooding happened while there. I've seen some crazy flooding pictures from Europe, i think...
That's Glastonbury. Apparently that is pretty normal there. After 2007 I like hearing about it raining on the farm because it means we won't get blacklunged with that miserable dust. It was still better than the downpour of 2004 though.
Yup. Glastonbury. I don't think I could handle dealing with that regularly.
But yeah... I havent been to Roo before, but I can imagine humid/rainy is better than dusty. I can deal with a day of rain but hopefully not the whole weekend or so muddy we can't really sit down on the ground the whole weekend and whatnot. I hope we get some hot heat to dry up a lot of that rain. I hope the farm is holding up ok! If we had that kinda crazy rain, i could see a lot of people being stupid/getting hurt/being too blacked out to realize it's flooding in their tent or something...wouldn't be good.
It's a waiting game. Gotta wait and see what Mother Nature has in store for us.
When in flooded here in Indiana a few years ago the problem after were the roads that got flooded. Many had damage that closed them down for months. I24 looked like it was a river so I am sure there is damage.
I talked to roofan earlier, and the farm is fine. I however lost a car in a movie theater parking lot. I came back out and it was under 4 feet of water.

Damn Jess! That sucks. Sorry to hear that. All of you in TN are in our thoughts. It's been a rough week. Flooding, oil spill, car bomb found in Times Square.....WTF is next?!

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. Did you guys not have much warning about how bad the rain'd be?

plane crashes, tornadoes, earthquakes...it's scary. Makes me think 2012 really is going to come true due to a horrible natural disaster
Could be worse! We could all be making final preparations to go to hangout to watch the oil flow up onto the beach. That was a close call, my friends. I was sooo close to buying that ticket. I wonder if they're going to have it at all.

That + Flaming Lips cancellation = definitely unfortunate circumstances for Hangout 2010
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
"04.29.10 The Hangout Music Fest is moving forward as planned for a great weekend of rock and roll and white sandy beaches. Currently, there is no anticipated effect on the festival or Gulf Shores. Like everyone on the Gulf Coast, we are monitoring the clean-up of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.According to local officials, there is no shoreline impact forecasted for Gulf Shores for at least the next 72 hours. There is no official forecast beyond 72 hours. We are relying on updates from the official response team, made up of the US Coast Guard, NOAA, Homeland Security, Dept of the Interior, BP and Transocean. If there is any change to this situation, we will update this post immediately."

Damn, hope the insurance company is nice to you. Maybe you can take the payment and RV it this year?!? Seriously sorry for the loss. We have friends in Nashville that we haven't heard back from so we're hoping they're well.
