Hope its cool to dredge this old thread up one more time - my celiac AND vegetarian lady's coming along for her first roo this year. Sounds like there's good gluten-free options and I ate like a vegetarian king of veggieville last year, but anybody got any tips/memories/thoughts on how that venn diagram of *both* squared off last year? There's often a lot of meat in other places' gluten free options.
We're flying in, so if she had options for vendor food on the farm that'd save us a lot of space - thanks for any tips!
If you download the app you can sort the food by gluten free and then see what has vegetarian options. I also have some dietary restrictions so when I flew in I brought some snacks with to have at camp. Things like protein bars and trail mix which don't take up a lot of room and are always nice to have on hand

If you're planning on getting food from vendors, definitely be aware of the possibility of cross contamination. I have celiac myself and this is a common issue when I eat out. Even if a vendor is offering gluten-free options, make sure the people handling her food change their gloves and use clean utensils if that vendor also sells foods with gluten-containing ingredients.

Alyssa - Wasn't aware of the app actually, I'm a caveman. Thanks for the tip!
NM - Yeah, cross-contamination's a constant concern : / places have gotten more knowledgable about it in general, little nervous about where random food stalls will fall but she's pretty good at asking the right questions without being a jerk about it by now

I'd also make note that the app may only be displaying last year's vendors, as they haven't announced food on the site yet. I find roo has a conscious approach, and that you will find a variety of options that wont chance contamination (since more spots are 100% g free)
