Sorry about my abscence have been really busy because of family health problems hardly get time to get on anymore but something made me blow up today the abscence of Such N Such from this years festival. Anyway in one of my typical rambling and free flow of thought posts I have come across an interesting "thought nugget" here is my original post. I had to sign in and post for this sorry everyone been really busy but will still be making Roo this year but I am hopping mad over this they could have easily got them back I am positive if they wanted to. If they are not there it is because they did not want them to. They can afford Jayz but cannot afford some lamp oil, firewood, circus carneys, etc? Hell it was never even like they paid them to design the stuff I am a huge and longtime fan of Such N' Such and let me tell you most of their Art was traveling and not even designed speifically for the festival. I bet a Sweetwater Blue that either this Lunar Stage or Chase tent will be in its place. I am o.k. if it is the Lunar Stage to some degree. However if it is a tent that you have to have a specific credit card for? Wtf? We bought tickets to the festival does that not give us a right to go in there? Are there any Dr. Gonzo Lawyers on here cause if so I want someone to film me trying to get into the tent without this card and be turned away because of economic discrimination after I have bought my ticket. Then we will go find a computer and have a lawsuit slapped on Bonnaroo by Friday morning . Is there grounds for doing this sort of thing I mean people who are not VIP can get in right? It is just for cardmembers can they bring guests in if so it might be more fun to "swamp the tent" provided there were a few anarchist Chase holers about It is inside Centeroo so should be for everybody right? I would be interested in hearing the reasons if not? Anyway I will pay one Sweetwater Blue or beer of choice for what should be a very short but easy case to file in my train of thought

If only you could sue for economic discrimination... That being said I have a flip video recorder and will gladly get the event on video for posterity.
Then we will go find a computer and have a lawsuit slapped on Bonnaroo by Friday morning .
Could you do me a personal favor and skip this Roo?
I don't agree with the whole Chase Lounge either, but if you're at the point of outrage, where you want to sue over it, please do us all a favor and keep your negativity somewhere else that weekend.
I'm no attorney but if I were I would gladly take your case pro bono even though I don't think that "economic discrimination" would be grounds for a suit. But I would work hard to try and find something that we could pin them with!
I wonder if picketing outside the tent would be a doable thing? get that on video, slap it on youtube.
I also wonder how many poor unsuspecting folk will be rooked into signing up for a Chase card just to get some cool air. Makes me sick to think about it.
otherwise, cursedlono, sorry to hear about your family health problems. hope things are looking up.

I know its funny though if only we could find the infamous Oscar Zeta Acosta the real life attorney sidekick of Hunter S. Thompson who was actually Mexican not Samoan and get him up in this case it would be pure amusement. Im not trying to be negative I am trying to provide entertainment I will miss Such N' Such and am just verbally working out the pain and came upon this funny ass idea. I was wondering if it had any grounds to it as it seems like it possibly could. Not that I am serious just curious and as Pearl Jam sayeth "Know your rights"

Catharsis is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am also curious about the Chase members thing say a husband has a card in his name but his wife does not will she get in? What if you have one and want to cool off but your kids are with you and they do not have cards? What about your gf, bf whatever? They have different names then are what are on the card correct? What about gay couples? threesome couples? what about that guy that dresses like a pirate and has a parrot every year? If he has card can his parrot get in? What if I got a japanese sex robot with me? eh?

By the way I will be running a prostitution ring out of the Bonnaroo post office that will feature nothing but japanese sex robots. Come check em out. I will be the post office pimp there will be no degredation subjugation whatever with my "girls". That will be my new territory. I figure to open the prostitution ring on what could be considered "federal property" to challenge any issues that might arise from using robots for prostitutes I think that it will revoloutiniize the pimp industry here in America. As current laws are geared towards humans I will also need a lawyer for that as well.

I grew up worshipping Rock and Roll like a religion. I know its shortcomings and strengths but have loved it unconditionally all the same since I was eight-years old. I ran away and joined the circus and honestly, I'm still as obsessed as I was as a boy. I'm not a kid anymore but I still remember how it felt and it doesn't really feel all that different to me now.

I'm gonna come check out the japanese sex robots. But you better not turn me away if I can't pay. That would be economic discrimination. The Rolls Royce dealer pulled that shite on me (rather rudely, I might add) and I'm sick of it.

are you gonna sue for "occupational discrimination" because you can't get in the photo pit or the media tent or get in the vendor area/entrance or get in the sound mixer board area?
Bottom line is that the whole area is private property, and you have agreed to abide by their rules and restrictions when you purchase your ticket. No where in that "contract" does it say you will be allowed whereever you want whenever you want.
Relax...who wants to go in there anyways? I don't even want to go in all the places I can go, much less worry about someplace I have interest in going. If you have that much energy, go protest something that means something.

I will have to remember this come September got tickets to see Roger Waters perform "THE WALL" in Chicago while researching things to see and do before the show I found out I will probably wind up staying near the "Magnificent Mile" home of many fine store and also a Bentley, Bugatti, and Lamborghini dealership will probably want to take a test drive in a Lamborghini through the streets of Chi-Town. Wonder if I will be able to get a car off the lot? Any Illinois based attorneys present as well? I have an extra ticket for the 20th to the Roger show for trade .

Until I get to 'roo and see the Chase tent, I'm just assuming it will be one of the many things in centeroo that I walk by without noticing all the time.

I'm pretty sure that the spot has been taken by Adult Swim or the sparkly new Lunar Tent. I don't think either of those are worth a lawsuit. I'm pretty sure the Chase tent is going to be an American Spirit sized piece of crap that isn't worth our time. Take it easy.

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

I'm really only interested in finding out who's gonna be playing this "suprise" show. Card or no card I just wanna know who agreed to playing for this corporate behemoth.
I'm not too worried. If Bonnaroo can make some extra money by giving a worthless credit company a tent, good. Festivals make money first and play music second, no secret there.
Although I will miss the smoke rings if that's where this tent is going....
