and just agree on this you and Wolfman disagree. Happens all the time.
Has there ever been a truer statement posted on this website in its history???? ;D ;D ;D ;D
Agreed, I stated a few times I'm done with it, and that I had said my peace. I'm just responding to personal attacks, but I'm done there too. I'll admit this is all a bit childish, I'm sry.

I do like to argue, this is one of the few things we can all agree on. I still say use some discretion, but I am more than willing to let this die off.

You do NOT like to argue! You hate it! I'm right and you're wrong. Anyone who disagrees with me is gonna get mashed into pulp by my viking ninja marine shaolin kamehameha tough guy skills! LOOK OUT NOW!!!
Oh, and since this was brought up before, my 2 cents: Yes, we all realize that nobody is writing a term paper on an internet message board. I may be a little bit more inclined to be a grammar and spelling nazi because I grew up in the country where our language was spawned, but everyone please pay a little attention here: People will judge you by your correct or incorrect usage of your native language. Since most of us in the U.S. speak and read only English, is it too much to ask that you learn how to use it properly? This applies to lots of different parts of your life, not just some message board. For example, you're at work and trying to jockey for a promotion that you know is about to open. You're banking on a presentation on which you've worked really hard for weeks, and you've titled it "Your realy gonna wanna make this commitment!". The research and numbers are spot-on, and you're confident in your delivery. Your boss and two important clients read the first line and here's what they see: Boss: "You're really going to want to fire me for making you look incompetent!" Clients: "You're really going to want to take your money somewhere else, these guys are morons!"
Here's what I would see: "I can't even master simple grammar or find the spellcheck, clearly I do not have the dedication to become proficient at mma. Please steal my pirate flag as punishment."

If you steal someone's flag in a game, you should leave a map/trail of how they can find it. And then you should share corn/something with them when they do. Otherwise, at least make sure to try to give it back later, because the game is now over. That's what makes it a game.
Mikey: [to One-Eyed Willie] Hi Willie. Oh, I'm Mike Walsh. You've been expecting me, haven't you? Well I made it. I beat you. I got here in one piece... so far.
[lifts up Willie's patch]
Mikey: So... that's why they call you One-Eyed Willie... One-Eyed Willie.
[takes a breath from his breathalizer] (<------- from IMDB, should say inhaler )
Mikey: We had a long comment, huh, Willie? You know something, Willie? You're the first Goonie.
[the rest of the Goonies show up]
Mikey: Yo. Hi guys. How's it going? This is Willie... One-Eyed Willie. Say hi, Willie. Those are my friends... the Goonies.
[pauses]
Mikey: How long have you guys been standing there? Brandon Walsh: Long enough, Mikey. Long enough.
Games are cool if you are not a D!ck when you play. Let the opponent know they are playing a game, because well, then it is actually a game.

It's cool if you pride yourself on your superb ability to spell, but your logic is completley flawed. If I was shooting for a promotion, you can be sure spell check would be involved. How is that the same as a mssg board? You're also wrong about the judgment thing. If I read an article by the guy who discovers time travel before it's edited, I would be in awe of his genius even if every word on the page was spelled wrong. Also how can you say that ones ambition to learn correct grammer, mirrors thier motivation level in other aspects of thier life? By this logic Einstien would have had no interest in mathamatics. There are many reasons someone may not spell correctly but here's an article on one current.com/news/89234456_too-clever-to-spell-wrong-spelling-can-indicate-too-much-knowledge.htm I'm sry but I disagree with you

1. The guy who discovers time travel wouldn't release an article before it's edited, since he no longer is constrained by deadlines. 2. If you suck at something you've been using every day of your life since the language center in your brain developed as a small child, how is it flawed logic to assume that you're not very good at something you've been doing for a much smaller fraction of your life? 3. Completely. 4. Grammar. 5. Their. 6. Einstein. 7. Interest. 8. Mathematics. 9. I'm sure the one-reference article from the Telegraph makes you feel better about being barely coherent when you're talking to people on the internet, but proof that people judge you on how you communicate is right here on this thread. If you weren't being judged for misspelling, we wouldn't be having this conversation, would we?

1. Who said the article was "released". You're assuming; you know the whole asss outa you and me thing right?
2. More flawed logic. You assume again that someone not only writes everyday, but writes in a manner that their grammar is subject to judgment. That's not true especially in a society where text mssging, e-mail, and social sites are so widely used. Also the ability to spell has no bearing on the ability to "use" your language. There are many great dyslexic speakers are out there. Theres also the possibility of poor school systems not correcting spelling errors, or even great home schooling where spelling is overlooked. Oh, and this "language center" you speak of, where is it? because as far as I know there are many areas used for language. Broca's area and Wernicke's area being two of them but not the only two. Are you a brain scientist? Lastly for this topic, Einstein learned to spell long before he learned physics, but somehow he managed to be better @ physics.

9. The article was a small example and I dont need it to make me feel better, I dont feel bad. I'm obviously more than "coherent" when debating with people on the Internet. Not "speaking" like you said, that would require us be in person........I mean if you wanna get all technical about usage of language and everything. Lastly we're having this convo because you (and maybe 2 others) are judging me on my spelling, not everyone or most people like you implied earlier.
10. I know you'd love it soooo much if I was, or if you could make me look like some dumb goon. But it's not gona happen, please take your petty judgment elsewhere.

Look man, the folks that are judging you are doing so on your statements and how they are delivered. Trying to help you out if you'll stop being so thin-skinned and lashing out at anyone who remotely disagrees. Why do you think you're getting resistance from several people in a single thread out of many? Do you think we have a secret room where we said "Hey, this guy says he's a peaceful vegan MMA fighter and will beat up wooks that try to steal the flag he isn't going to bring so bad that they're going to need a Lifeflight out. Also, he can barely string together an intelligible sentence. Let's go make him look like a dumb goon or he'll take over the board!"?
We've all agreed that the flag-stealing game is lame. It's also going to happen regardless of what anyone says on a message board. People that steal anything from other people's campsites suck, and yes they are taking risk of injury. People who threaten or enact violence on others take a greater risk. I'm not going to be the one doing the assaulting of anyone on the farm because I'm going to secure my valuables and I plan on having fun the entire time.

Folks are judging on my spelling, look @ the posts. Not delivery, pay attention. You're not trying to "help me out", you were making sarcastic remarks about my grammar and attitude so relax. I'm not thin skined nor am I "lashing out"". That's exactly what you and everyone else are doing, I have not made single personal attack on anyone else. You were the one who was trying to say that your spelling has everything to do with intelligence, and directly effects how you preform in other areas of your life. Obviously you were dead wrong and now your backing off. Don't try and attack someone and then try and say their aggressive when they smear your logic all over. I'm getting Resistance from people because of their feelings towards a particular stereotype. I'll admit I should have known better than to say those three terrible letters, but I didn't know it would invoke this type of anger. You can say my sentences are "intelligible", but It seems people understand me just fine. Dint say "we all agree the game is lame" because obviously by the posts in this thread, that isn't the case. I'm glad you finally made a somewhat sensible post though. This thread was peaceful until you tried insulting me. If you read the thread you'd know that I didn't threaten anyone (directly or in particular) and that I clarified my original statement. No calm down you spelling Nazi, it's not that big a deal. My IQ hasn't droped in the past 10 years I dont think it's going anywhere anytime soon
