the thing about U2 is, i know i makes sense for Bonnaroo to book them, but i really think that after having to cancel Glastonbury, they're pretty likely to play there next year during all their makeup shows. and one of the big selling points for Glastonbury was that this was U2's first festival in 20 years or whatever. of course, Jay-Z showed that big artists can do both fests, but i think it does make them slightly less likely.
Panic's new album is great, they are sounding as good or better than they ever have in concert with Jimmy Herring in the group, and no other band has had more to do with Bonnaroo's success.
I would be very happy if they came back to the farm for the tenth anniversary.

^ So long as they didn't headline and there was someone I wanted to see playing against them, I could stomach panic being there. Otherwise please no. If you want a Jammy Sunday headliner then Further or a return of Phish is what I would call for

Neil would be the best "jammy" headliner they could get, or My Morning Jacket.
It's time for Roo to push the envelope a little bit. Having a Sunday headliner that a lot of people will enjoy will go a long way.

^ I hear ya man. I still don't for some reason think of Neil as traditionally jammy though he does like to jam out. I would love nothing more than Neil and friends (or with Crazy Horse) to close out the fest.
MMJ leading into Neil would be great but if they were to headline I would say a Friday split headline slot like 2009 would be about what I feel they could pull off. I personally love these guys and want to see them on the farm rather than a large club or opening for someone in an arena (I only started going to Roo two years ago) but I'm not sure if their fan base is big enough to call for a headline slot?

what are the chances that we could get a david bowie headliner? i know hes been rumored to headline coachella the past couple years but it never came through... how awesome would this be?
^Too awesome. I'd give just about anything for this to happen... I think the "Coachella rumors" are/were just hopeful speculation, but if any one fest gets him, it's most likely to be Coachella.
heard on 105.9 today that Gilmour has promised Waters that he will play at some of the shows performing the Wall this year. Maybe Waters is already under contract with Roo (I know they usually lock down their headliners the summer before) and, if we are lucky, Gilmour will be there too. I was excited, maybe you will be too.

Rogers has tour dates in Germany for June 10th and 15th. So the only shot of having him at Roo is Sunday(12th). That seems highly unlikely but I would love to be wrong.

Unlikely-but-still-plausible scenario:
Paul McCartney - Outkast - The White Stripes - Daft Punk
would definitely make me happy.
Slightly-more-realistic scenario:
The Who - Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Red Hot Chili Peppers - Daft Punk
i would love all four bands on the top list, but who knows if any of them will be touring next summer, all though there is a possibility for all of the,
The Who have already said they'll hit the road in 2011, RHCP and Daft Punk have a new album coming out, and i think Capps will throw us a bone with Neil Young.

I registered solely for this thread. Having never been too roo, but seeing the previous artists (I was supposed to go to this past one, and last years, but stuff came up) I would love to see just these bands, I could careless about others (This is also going by the speculations that have been said in this thread already):
A lot of the other suggestions are great too, but I would absolutely love if these guys played. If not the last 3, at least MGMT and Animal Collective.
