So my girlfriend and I just attended our first 'Roo, and while driving back to reality down bushy branch road on Sunday night I realized that I never wanted to leave. Anyone else looking forward to next year as much as this guy? haha

Yeah I wanna go RV next year for sure. My sauna tent just wasn't cutting it. Especially Friday night when I decided to stay out till 6 AM and dance my ass off at the Lunar Stage. I had about 45 minutes of sleep before it was sweltering hot. Sorry to hear you missed Phoenix! It was one of my most anticipated acts, and they did NOT disappoint. They even played Funky Squared! haha. I was gettin doooown.
Exactly...and the nights were supposed to be cooler, but this year was just amazingly hot, so don't wanna chance it and deal with a tent. RV sounds more fun, safer for your belongings, own shower/bathroom/ac/kitchen/etc... i think one i found for 6 nights from Nashville was like $150/person assuming only 6 people stayed in it.
ive heard mixed reviews on vip...and although i like the idea of sitting down and i think havin the areas close to the stage to stand in and avoid tall people (I'm short and it's annoying not being able to see).... then its not all that worth it. different people say different things, but...i think rv would be more fun.
cheap-rv-rental.com/ Put Wed-Mon of next year, automatic, from/to Nashville, and it comes to cheapest at $494.13 total (4 people only though)... 7 person one says... $534.60
You gotta add mileage and probably some other fees, but that's pretty good compared to a more well-known RV site, i think. it was well over $2k I think.

YES!!!!!!!!!! I miss the farm so much we made fast friend with our neighbor Tom - I miss waking up and having a smoke out with everyone. I miss walking to get a grilled cheese and having a quick dance with the stinky wook that tried to sell me a grinder. *sigh*
Next year we are going RV baby! This year I was soooo jealous passing through the RV's everyone was sitting on the top catching shows.

hah, in 07 me and and 4 other friend rented a RV came close to 2500 not to mention miles from PA and the 1000 deposit they want oh and the GAS hahah good luck with your search though we partied in that thing the whole way there and back dude!!!!
At 2am on Sunday (Monday) morning we embarked on our journey back home. Sleep deprived and deathly ill with the Bonnabug my thoughts were FUCK THIS PLACE. However, 5 hours later and after a nice nap in a hotel in TN I came back to my senses and started to plan Bonnaroo 2011. I can't believe I ever even thought about not going back. I already even started shopping for 2011. I picked up more of the huge inflatable balls and also a topper for our huge shade tent so that we can spot it in the distance. Can't we just fast forward to June 2011? Please?

This year was the first time I've went VIP and the biggest difference between it and GA is definitely the people. Our neighbors were two young guys from Boston and four really chill older guys from Pennsylvania. My friend and I set up our camps to connect with the guys from Boston and we pretty much shared everything - they even fed us delicious steak tips, wings, sausage, and microbrews that they found in cans; the other guys randomly gave us some corn and ate corn with us on Sunday. I've never had the chance of having such hospitable neighbors in GA, but then again I'm always with 16 other people...
And to answer to the topic: 2011 is going to be a fantastic Roo - I heard Jay Leno will be headlining!

after 08 and 09 i was had the feeling of "that was fun but im not sure i can do it next year" after this year, im going to do everything in my power to be there in 2011

Unfortunately it is NOT 2011 yet. And yeah. I still feel like I'm miles from home and can't come back. I've been back to work for a few days now and I've been telling everyone how the real world is nothing more than a government machine and we should all quit our jobs because the people at 'Roo are just much more friendly and know what life is all about. Good lord what did you hippies do to me? ;D

I'm with everyone here... is it 2011 yet? And as tempting as VIP is (I got a peek in there because my first volunteer shift was trash talking the main VIP area while the free buffet and drinks were going [nope, did not get to partake in said free beer]), I actually love slumming it in a tent too much and don't think I'll ever make the upgrade. My neighbors in staff/volunteer camping were awesome, though, so I have faith in the good neighbor possibility for many years to come!
not only am i waiting for 2011, I've got 3 or 4 newbies that have already said they're gearing up to go with me. Not only that, my camping neighbors from this year are gonna try to hook up with me when we get down there so we can hang out again. Love you Bess and Mike. Cheers to all. Hope to see ya in 2011 8)
For those renting an RV next year, get that shit booked fast. The sooner the better. Once they release the dates, book it. My friends and I tried to rent one for the last 3 months before this years fest, and it was sold the fuck out. When dates are announced, get on it!
Assuming I'm not living on the West Coast in a year, I'll be back. Next time time, it's going to be VIP and possibly an RV. I'm willing to pay for air-conditioning and my own toilet. Those port-o-potties traumatized me.
If I'm on the West Coach, looks like it may be Sasquatch for me next year.

Most likely the dates'll be June 9th to 12th, unless for some odd reason they break away from the traditional 2nd weekend in June, which I doubt.
I saw RV rentals are also cheaper before December.
"You look like you're listening to every note." - Lady to me during LCD's "final" show 2023: Mar 29 - Guster Apr 6 - Postmodern Jukebox Apr 26 - Father John Misty May 14 - Taylor Swift (Philly) May 17 - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss July 12 - moe. July 16 - CAKE (Portland, ME) July 28-30 - Newport Folk (#12!) Dec 8-9 - Goosemas!
dude, as awesome as our VIP experience was, I can't resist the Total Access siren song... I mean, as if UNLIMITED ACCESS to every stage and sleeping in a TOUR BUS in the ARTIST RV AREA isn't enough, the idea that ALL FOOD & DRINKS are included? Package is for 8... count me in!
Me and my husband are looking to do Total Access as well.
I've done GA, Family Camp, Volunteer, and Guest.
My husband has never been regular GA.
He wants to at least do VIP next year. But since it's the 10 year and the line show be the best ever I think it's a good time to test out Total Access.

Does anyone know how much the total access experience cost? Wondering what that comes to divided by 8. Also wondering if I can get 7 others for next year

I'm pretty sure I saw that it is $25k....... I wish I had that option

The day they announce the official dates for next year those rates WILL go up...
Total access was $18,500 this year for eight people.
So that comes to $2312.50/person... I dunno when I'd ever be able to afford that, lol.
Ouch! Yeah there's no way that would be worth it for me, especially if I was that close to the artists. I'd last one day before security got a hold of me. I would've been camped out waiting for Phoenix & Deadmau5 this year. It would've been shameful. Thank goodness I don't have that kind of money lying around.
