I really doubt that anyone here was heckling bands they don't like.
I don't care for Bruise Pringstein or Dayf Matthues Band. But, I did watch Bruise last year when I went and I might have caught DMB if I went this year because I respect their musicianship and they are good to their fans.* Bruise had a hand in one of the most surreal moments of my life when I came out of a port-o-potty, not sober, to "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" in the middle of June, which I'll probably never forget.
I only remember one heckler last year, during Band of Horses. There was this really drunk dude that kept loudly singing, "Noboooody liiiikes me. Nobooody fuckin' likes meeee. Fuck you everyboooddy." As I was browsing youtube videos last year, someone caught him doing the same thing at another show. Point is, there are gonna be douchebags at every show and just because you saw a few do it, it doesn't mean the whole crowd of people who aren't DMB fans were doing it.
*I would not have watched KOL if I were there this year, even though I like their earlier albums. A lot of people here were not happy about KOL playing, but I doubt they were at the show heckling because they don't like them.
Jess says you can actually find useful information on PT, but I have not yet found that thread.
Talk about a lack of musical diversity -- at PT half the people don't even like the band the board is about.
wait - you mean I could post on PT and feel at home because I really don't care for Phish? Wow
oh and for Druid and other unicorn fanatics:
You would be in the majority. That being said I am pretty sure you would not enjoy it that much. Sassbox hangs out there a lot these days though so who knows.

YES a thousand times to the Santa Claus reference...
KOL were pretty good, from what i heard
I was a heckler, sort of, once at the terrible police show. i was just really drunk and yelling "roxanne" at the top of my lungs during the song...
I don't know if anyone went to Justin Townes Earle in '09 (probably not, because it was during David Byrne), but my buddy was a heckler there. He kept shouting "play a Scotty Melton song" (long story). It was the Troo Music Lounge, so Justin heard it very clearly and even responded to it a couple of times. My buddy was extremely trashed. I would have been embarrassed if I wasn't so busy laughing my ass off. The same guy also did this when Justin opened for Old Crow Medicine Show in Knoxville.

I saw KOL in 2008. It was the last night of their tour and they were in Nashville so they should have brought it. It was really boring though and just felt like they were phoning it in. Plus, they should be happy that anyone, anywhere likes "Sex on Fire" but they made fun of the fans that did, calling them middle aged ladies mom jeans. I just don't have any interest in them anymore. I'm glad they were good for the people that wanted to see them though. It was cool that they did a Pixies cover too.
Re: The Police; Ha! I've heard they weren't very good. I've been known to be drunk in a bar and yell "Roxanne" too. In fact, last year at this time I was doing just that since it was my birthday and the day that MJ died so everyone was playing MJ songs on the jukebox all night long.
im not a KOL fan - seen them a few times over the years and agree that they are boring live.
i was napping in my tent listening to the show this year and it sounded pretty good. he actually enunciates now, so i know what the hell he is saying. not sure if they still just stand there...there seemed to be a lot of lights - that never hurts
I hate that so many of you are hating on someone for liking one type of music over another. Get over yourselves please. All the OP was doing was pointing out how intolerant some people are...because of music...Come on inforoo. Its all about the fucking music. Right? I thought thats what Bonnaroo was all about.
Bonnaroo is about music. Message boards are about discussing many things, including music...and entertaining ourselves until the next Bonnaroo. Are you not entertained?

As someone new to the board...a lot of people seem to dislike nodepression (mostly I'm drawing from the poll that decided he was the rudest poster on here). I kinda like him. He seems like a cool guy.
