What does the phrase "monkey trying to quack a football" mean?
I've never really understood that one.
Some idiomatic phrases are basically nonsense, essentially random but funny combinations of ideas. This isn't one of those. The phenomenon of monkeys humping footballs has been widely observed and documented. This is the main reason no team from South America has ever won the Super Bowl -- nobody can get the footballs away from the monkeys down there.
Curt didn't ask a question, though, so I thought I was supposed to in that case.
Should I have a Bloody Mary or Margarita for breakfast today?
Bloody Marys are a lot like food, so it's the obvious choice for a better breakfast. But you also need something to drink when you're eating breakfast -- I suggest a Margarita.
Which South American football team has the best chance of ever making a Super Bowl?
I honestly don't think any of them have much of a chance. Have you ever watched a South American football team play? It's like watching monkeys try to fuck a football.

If Austrian physicist Erwin Schrodinger were alive and responding in English, what explanation would he offer as to how someone could apply his Schrodinger's cat thought experiment to enable one to see multiple acts at Bonnaroo at the same time?
The phrase "don't cut off your nose to spite your face" implies that there are other, valid reasons to cut off your nose. What would one be?

Schrodinger would actually say that you can't do this. But he'd be wrong.
You just have to build a decoherence entanglement ensemble processor (DEEP). The many-worlds theory posits that in parallel universes all possibilities are realized. So you already do see all the shows you want to every year. The only problem is that the parallel selves can't interact with one another, so "you" only experience the effect of seeing one show at a time. This is where the DEEP comes in. It collects and bonds the parallel selves, giving you the experience of having seen all the shows you wanted to see. Now get to work on that.

Or you could just borrow mine, oddly enough from the outside it just looks like a small strip of paper.
