2011 Late Night (Tents) Wish List

Stop bringing Loveless into this.

Sigur Ros was great in 08, what I didn't like were all the people who thought it would be cool to lay down, take up the space of 3 people, and go to sleep; creating obstacles and crowding for the people who actually wanted to see the show. Seeing them at the Ryman in 07 was fantastic. I thought they were gonna blow the windows out of that place.
Spiritualized will probably draw the same kind of crowd as Sigur Ros did. If they get kicked or stepped on, too bad. Tents are for sleeping. I still want Spiritualized to play.

And here I thought you cared about me..

The Roots as a headliner?

If they're not on the farm next year as a late night I'm going to be extremely disappointed in Ashley Capps.

There are far more bands that will get that main stage headliner slot. IE Daft Punk. boooooyahhh

I actually like that your calling it a headliner spot.

I think Daft Punk is one exception to the whole electronic headliner. This isnt the right thread for it but I also think that its possible they could get String Cheese Incident, My Morning Jacket, Daft Punk, Widespread Panic, Muse, or Arcade Fire. I think that all of these could either headline or have a late night headline slot.

WSP - Will probably get their Sunday headline slot. I dont think they would use a 2 hour Late night headline slot for them.

MMJ - I think they could either headline, but would not like it. I would prefer it as the same as 2008, where they play the which stage late night. It will be just like FLips in years past, where its REALLY crowded.

SCI - If their show is anything like Rothbury in 2009. THEY NEED to headline. Dont really think this will happen unless they announce more dates. The headlining late night slot just isnt enough time imo for SCI.

Daft Punk - Perfect for that two hour late night main stage. Just perfect IMO. and I dont see them playing any other slot if they are there. I think that they will really cash in if they are able to get Daft Punk.

I dont have any real knowledge, but I did meet "Shaggy", a nice guy who works behind the scenes at Bonnaroo. he said they already have pieces shaping up for something big for the 10th anniversary. Hopefully everything goes well in the planning stage and everything will be great. Even if NONE of those bands are on the lineup.

Ghostland for sure! Never saw them before 08, but after hearing them described as eargasmic, I couldn't miss it. The review was right on....
