They've just started a new world tour of their new album, "Plastic Beach."
The shows consist of various hits (Feel Good Inc, Clint Eastwood, etc.) spiced in alongside their new songs. The new album is great. Not as good as their previous two, but still great. It has a bunch of collaborators such as: Snoop Dogg, Bobby Womack, and Mos Def. If you haven't listened to it, give it a few listens, as it grows on you over time. Thoughts?

WSP might be more technically talented at their instruments, but I'm not actually even sure of that because I haven't heard a Gorillaz bootleg. BUT Damon Albarn is a much, much, much better songwriter than whoever WSP has writing their songs. Not even close.
Sadly no way Gorillaz are on the lineup. I would buy Blur on the lineup before Gorillaz.
You've got to be fucking kidding me. You can keep WSP and their generic southern rock, I'll take Gorillaz.
Musicallly as in musicallity, instrumental poweress, and song structure. The only think that Gorillaz have over WSP , musically, is the styling... not the composition, song structure, or instrumental skill.

"instrumental poweress"
hahahahahahahaha...btw, wsp's composition/arrangements/song structures are INCREDIBLY repetitive and redundant
they might be good at their instruments, but when you're playing the same tough riff a hundred times for a hundred different songs, i don't think that signifies a whole lot of artistic talent

Poweress isn't the word you were looking for.
Also wolf is 100% correct. Just because a band is better at their instruments doesn't make them actually better. I feel like I need to make this argument every week.
Profficency, I guess. And, I know what you and Wolf mean, and it isn't necessarilly always true or not... I just don't think Gorillaz do anything that great, except sell the image (that is something I honestly respect).
Gorillaz just isn't my bag, simply... didn't like it when they came out, my 9th grade year... like them even less now.
But, people would like it, I'd skip the show, and it's all good. I'd just prefer (like Daft Punk) if the slot was booked for something else.
I was waiting for it... I'm using a ps3 remote, it's kind of a biznatch to fix typos. I do know how to spell, but I'm typing abot Gorillaz fer chrissakes, lol.

I'm so confused. Is the role of an English teacher reversed on the internet? You have to admonish people for promoting proper grammar and spelling, even when it's done in a harmless, joking fashion?

I'm sorry you're confused. I'm also sorry that you can't see why pointing out spelling errors on a message board makes you look like a fool. Just trust me; it does.
I think it's more "who gives a fuck as long as it's intelligible." But, no offense taken, I text quickly using a d-pad and 4 buttons. If I were writing something important, I'd be more careful.

They were funny spelling errors. I was pointing them out as humorous. It was funny to me. I wasn't trying to offend Bishop or say that he was dumb, I was just pointing out some funny spelling errors. Jesus Christ...I'm actually studying to become an English teacher and I can say in all honesty that I hope I don't have teachers like you teaching me.
