Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
So I'm already starting to save money for Bonnaroo and Wakarusa 2011. I'm also thinking about hitting up the Hangout fest and hopefully going to Rothbury if they have it this year. What are some other good festivals out there?
the hangout fest looks cool. this year, starry nights looks pretty good, and there was one other one like a weekend or 2 ago that had a decent lineup, and no overlapping sets that would have been cool to go to. Hope they come back next year, fall time is awesome for camping
^AllGood was great this year, much nicer than previous years imo. Roth looks like fun, but I always end up feeling the lineup is only fair to middlin compared to Bonnaroo, it just does not have as much depth and it costs the same.
Yeah. It seems more jam band based but I really like that. Especially since rumors are sayin cheese or phish and maybe further. I wouldn't mind of both of them played Roo waka and Roth
Maybe Nateva, Gathering of the Vibes, and Newport Folk. Depending on the lineup and ticket prices with those three. Electric Zoo has tempted me the last couple of years, next year I might finally pull the trigger on at least one day.
I don't think I could do a double of Rothbury and Roo next year, assuming Rothbury comes back.

AllGood 2010 was the best of any non-Bonnaroo camping fests I've been to. Problems from previous years were addressed, and IMO it was virtually perfect.
Here's what I've got my eye on for '11... I'm getting married in May, so there's a good chance I make it to none of these.
Wanee, NO Jazz Fest, Hangout, Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, Montreal Jazz Fest, High Sierra, North Sea Jazz Fest, Floyd Fest, Outside Lands, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, ACL, Voodoo, Bear Creek, Xmas Jam

Rothbury was an amazing location for a large music festival. Those that went will tell you that you didn't melt away (even though it was July 4th weekend, the weather was perfect) and Sherwood forest was a sight to behold. But like all large festivals, there were lots of overlapping sets which lead to many tough decisions. All in all, I hope it does come back. People in the upper midwest deserve to have a festival thats not a billion miles away. And people from all over the country deserve to be able to go to a summer festival and not be miserable cuz of the heat. Its a win-win for everyone. The more festival options people have, the better is my opinion. And whoever made a comment about Roth's lineup or lack thereof probably didn't go. There was plenty of variety in the lineup and if watching fireworks light up the sky on Independence Day while the Dead jammed on the main stage doesn't get u going, you better check your pulse. Sincerely, a Roth fan

What I said is that the lineup compared to Bonnaroo's lacks depth. I mean that they tend to have bands that appeal to one certain demographic (and let's be fair it is my demographic mainly) whereas Bonnaroos is all over the place with world music, hip hop, metal, and more. I do not mind a lineup like that for a wakarusa or a AllGood where the tickets are a lot cheaper. In fact I was going to go this year before the cancellation, and I hope it comes back. That being said I still think the 'roo lineup the two years side by side has not only been better, but also a lot more diverse. Now roth 09 to Bonnaroo ten is a little closer, even then the Stevie Wonders, Tori Amos's, and others who are unlikely to play roth are a big reason that I like to go to Bonnaroo. If they come back I would like to see them start trying to become a great music festival instead of a great hippy festival.

I gotchya Wolfman. I guess I'm kind of a snob when it comes to festivals because I spend so much money to go to one (i live in hawaii, so I drop big bucks on flights/rentals/supplies/etc). Thefefore, the weather is a big deal to me. I was really uncomfortable at Bonnaroo compared to Rothbury cuz of the heat, BUT the variety of the lineup at Bonnaroo was better like U said. Lets not kid anybody, Roo pretty much sets the standard, at least in the states. All Good is catching up quickly and if Roth comes back and remains for a few years, it will grow quickly too because of its location (great weather and a few hrs from chi-town).
Waka is not quite as hot as Roo but it does have a river to cool off in. One of the many great things on the mountain. Also when will we hear a lineup to a 2011 fest?
