Reason number #4123 why Macca>Lennon: Lennon never made anything as great as the medley. Also that song=
Do what now? ???
Is Polythene Pam not Lennon?
The medley was McCartney's idea. He wrote the Money, the intro, whose musical theme would be tied into the heart of the medley, Golden Slumber and Carry That Weight, which I believe Lennon is completely absent from iirc. The Lennon contributions were grafted together and given purpose, in the context of the medley as a whole, by McCartney. On top of that Lennon's only good contribution to Abbey Road is, once again iirc, nonsense mixed in with from what I can tell are drug references; plus it's overrated . Oh also I Want You is self-indulgent shit.
Basically the great parts of AR =Something (Harrison) + Long Medley(McCartney). Overrated, drug riddled songs=I Want You, Because and Come Together(Lennon)
