i pray they don't get phish to waka...i love em, but mulberry can't accommodate 50,000 phreaks..last year there was only about 15 - 16 thousand on the mountain and it seemed to be at capacity...plus tickets would be sold out in about 3 days...

When I was at harvest they said capacity was about 20-25 thousand it seemed high for that space, however I do not know how big the satellite campground is. Regardless, they sold out last year so I would not expect any bands bigger than what they had then.

Exactly what I was going to say. They don't have room to expand, so I wouldn't expect any bigger names than what we had this year. I think they could pull Cheese if Cheese does some festivals, but they'd have to cut back else where.
In part, I dont care who plays Waka this year. Their undercard is always pretty solid and you get multiple chances to see many bands. I can't wait for Waka to come around because I know that Roo is the following weekend!!! It makes for one hell of a vacation, Wakarusa then Bonnaroo back to back weekend!!!!
^I partially agree. I do care. But, while I loved seeing Bisco, Umphreys, and Panic last year, the undercard is what draws me to most festivals. Gotta have something to do during the day!
I hope Wakarusa sucks this year, because I can't go. I can only get off for Roo this year. But I do have to say that last year I definitely enjoyed Waka mor than Roo. I think Waka should get a little more diverse in their music, but not too much. I like that it still stays mostly jammy. It reminds me more of the early roo days.

What's up with this "campsites go on sale"? How does that work? Deetz please.
Ah, looks like they already sold out.
Heard last year was lots of fun but couldn't make it because of Phish terr right after Roo. Depending on what my work/school is next summer I'd like to try Waka.

I am going to buy one of those sites for harvest next year. Basically there is a small shaded campground with independent bathrooms and showers. It is 300 bucks and you can have up to 8 people per site, and it as close to the misic as tent only or VIP at Bonnaroo.
Greetings from Manitoba! We have a bit of scary-exciting good news regarding 2011 tour dates (details coming up soon) as we have just inked some fantastic gigs including some new venues never before played!
Of special interest will be June 2011, where we will - for the first time - be playing a music festival in Arkansas which doesn't normally showcase progressive/symphonic rock. It's a great deal, the money is right, and we have been offered a "2 hour late night" set in a bloody tent of some sort (??). This is really exciting for me personally as we don't play a lot of the US summer festivals and never on top of a mountain in the midwest! The promoter, a fantastic chap from Lawrence (Kansas) said that he wants to 'expand the image' of his festival to get some 'serious' music fans to the table, and that 'Ryche was one of his childhood favorites growing up.
Please check the website after they make the "official" lineup announcement in January - we have to keep this on the hushy hushy until that time... www.queensryche.com - you guys are the best fans on earth and we hope you will support us at this festival in record numbers!

There are certain bands that I can't be in earshot of. This is one of those bands.
2 hours latenight for Queensryche huh? Dream Theater would have been a better choice if you were going after music fans I would have thought. Or maybe Waka is going faux metal this year.
I know I'll be elsewhere at that time. I might poke my head in to see what it's all about, but it's definitely not my thing. There will always be some bluegrass on the Backwoods Stage and electronica on the Satellite Stage, and who knows what in the Outpost Tent. Unless of course, Queensryche is going in the Outpost Tent? It wouldn't surprise me, because they're not the typical Waka band to pack out the Revival Tent for a late night. I hope this truly doesn't dissuade anyone from going, we all know Waka is going to be amazing, Mindcrime or not.

Hopefully nobody is going to be put off by one band being there.
