Give it a few more. It takes a few listens.
What he said!
I love Sufjan, and when I first heard Age of Adz, I disliked it. After about 4 spins I started warming up to it and it is now tied for my favorite album of 2010.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Same here. Except I'd say it was my third favorite, closely behind LCD Soundsystem and Kanye West.

According to the email response I got from his management a month or two ago, he will not be at Bonnaroo. But I suppose he could've been contacted since then, so don't give up hope just yet.
This makes him about 10x more likely for Bonnaroo IMO (but, he was only like 1% before, so his chances still aren't great). Primavera is in Spain, obviously, but it's in late May so he'd have PLENTY of time to get back over to the states for a Bonnaroo appearance. Let's hope!
The main argument that was he never played festivals. Perhaps he has had a change of heart.
I basing that prediction largely because he is not really at a stage in his career where a lot of one off shows around the world be profitable. Yes, I could be way off the mark, or he is still finalizing his European dates around the Primavera spot. Just based off this popularity in the States, I do not see Bonnaroo throwing a lot of money his way.
He's playing indoors at Primavera apparently. He still doesn't play outside (other than one show at Sasquatch in 04 i believe) so Bonnaroo ain't happening.
I was never a huge fan, although I liked few songs here and there, mostly off of Illinoise and Seven Swans, but Age of Adz, upon first listen, I thought was amazing. I know I'm in the minority, but I think if you're going to start somewhere with Sufjan, you should start with Age of Adz. It doesn't really sound anything like his older stuff, which may be why I like it best, but I think its amazing. I'd love to see it live.
