If, hypothetically, Oasis were still together I would rather not have them on the farm. The reason being is that they would certainly be a headliner and I would rather have a band I like a bit more in a headlining spot.
Thread creator gets -1 awesome point for laziness. I understand abbreviating long or complicated words, but spell out one and to, for the love of Christ and peanut butter
Before opening this, I kind of thought that the thread was going to be more like the Ham Sandwich thread, like what 1 object would you rather have 2 Oasis playing any stage?
But regarding starting hopeful threads about bands that have theoretically broken up for good, no we NEVER do that around here, nope NEVER,
because that would be like saying we want Pink Floyd or Zeppelin or Neutral Milk Hotel or... or... <insert band name you love here even though they haven't played a show in many many years and we have no indication that they ever will again> and then starting a thread about hoping they will
Jeez, give the guy a break
Just curious why you quote me here? I smite'd him because instead of having the tread titled "anyone object to Oasis playing...", which makes sense, he abbreviated two (2) very simple words, which in turn confused me, as it did you, to the likely contents of this thread.
I have no problem wishing for bands to reunite, or making a post about it.
I just don't see oasis being a headliner. Their new music is just no where near as good as their old stuff, and they only had one really good album back then. But thats just my $0.02
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself

I probably should have split my post up for clarity, I was really only adding to this...

Also, why the fukk did Wes Borland have to rejoin Limp Bizness? Black Light Burns was an awesome project he had going.
Taken from theprp.com: Given his commitments with the band, Borland has put his other group Black Light Burns on a temporary hiatus with plans to return next year. Borland recently revealed that he has over 20 new song ideas for Black Light Burns already in the works with more on the way.
And while I wouldn't mind Oasis, I also am quite sure they won't be there. And that they wouldn't headline. Maybe close out Which on Sunday or pre-headline.
Oasis would undoubtedly headline. I dont think its even a question
I both doubt and questions whether a theoretically not broken up Oasis or theoretically reunioned Oasis would serve as a headliner at Bonnaroo.
I'm not entirely sure how many tickets having them on the bill would move. The phrase, "Dude, let's go! Oasis is playing!" hasn't been uttered very frequently in the US in about a decade, and I'm not sure how frequent it was before that.
They would be a preheadliner at best. If they played. But they won't.

This thread is as pointless as the "Bring back Dave or Roo will suck" thread. I'm surprised its made it this long. Nevertheless I will offer my 2 cents... I don't think a reunited Oasis would headline Bonnaroo. They could headline a fest across the pond for sure, but I don't think anybody really cares over here anymore. If it was 1998, Oasis would definitely headline, but its not.

the thing about blur and Oasis is that they're big enough to be #1 Headliners in the UK, but not here. and for that reason, they probably wouldn't play fests here
