Dates are confirmed, May 27-29 2011, in Chillicothe, Illinois. Umphrey's Mcgee and moe. are headling. Also, they are leaking the lineup this week on Facebook and Twitter.

Yea this is developing into a solid lineup, but at the same time there is plenty of been there done that. And I expect a lot of these to be on All Good or Wakarusa and even a few on Roo maybe. Therefore I can't justify even considering spending almost 30 hours in a car for it. Especially when I will never be able to afford more than one big time festival a year.
Its looking like i'm going to be making my first trip up to Summercamp this year as opposed to going to Roo. Lineup looks great and because its a month earlier and not held in the hottest place on earth I think it will be a more enjoyable time. I may try to do both because i only live a few hours from Manchester but we'll just have to see what the Roo brings to the table as far as a lineup goes.
Its hard for me to miss roo since it is only 45mins away and my dad lives in manchester. I will probably only get time off for one fest this year. So most likely roo, but this would be a close second.

I bought my presale ticket for $100. You just can't beat that. I am going with the new gf who has been 6 or 7 years. It's her favorite festival. As far as camping, you have to park and drag all of your gear to the camp site. Invest in a wagon of some sort. It's a necessity.
That's awesome that Jaik Willis will be there. He's amazing and plays an acoustic flying V. I will not do Roo this year unless the lineup is better than any other lineup they've ever had.

If I can get a ticket for xmas I will be going to my first summer camp in 2011. I'll most likely be flying solo though, but it will still be an amazing time!

I want to say that the late nights are around $20 extra. They hold them in a barn and it's limited capactiy but as far as I know, there's other music going on as well. Not sure about beer prices. I need to ask the gf about the beer situation.

i went last year and am going again this year.... beer prices arent too bad... there are also wasy to get your own alcohol in, thats what i did and saved some money. If you do plan on sneaking in your own booze go in on thursday, they do very little checking on thursday

So I spoke with the GF who has been to Summercamp several times and she says that you park, then haul all of your gear towards the campgrounds. Security searches the shit out of your camping gear. They usually taped booze to their legs to get it in or had a false bottom in their wagons.
I'm thinking I might be drinking some vodka dranks that weekend instead of beer.
