The new Deerhunter is good. I think I'll like it even more on a second or third listen. But there are no long drawn out songs and I already miss Josh Fauver

Is this not the right place for that? Is there a more appropriate thread to talk about that in? I'm not around these part too often but I am really excited about all these BoC rumblings.
I just hope that Release the Bats ATP in Melbourne is not the only thing Jesus Lizard is playing this/next year. I'll take a David Yow solo show, but I really wanted to see Jesus Lizard get added to more fests or do a US tour after hearing about that ATP seeing as how Tomahawk might be done with touring after the summer.

Ummmm. I think I listened to a cut off the new album last night. It was on some NPR new music podcast . It sounds like I hoped it would. Can't wait!
Other guests include Anthony Hamilton, Raphael Saadiq, Estelle, Vintage Trouble, Luke James and James Jay Picton among many others. Gary Clark Jr., Poncho Sanchez, and Sheila E. also contribute their singular instrumental prowess to the soulful tracks
I enjoyed the last record with The Roots and look forward to this one.
Examining the lineup for Deerhunter's recent installment of the All Tomorrow's Parties festival, one of the more obscure names was Lonnie Holley, a 63-year-old Southern outsider artist. As it turns out, Bradford Cox has contributed to the eccentric visual artist and musician's upcoming second album, Keeping a Record of It, out September 3 via the Dust to Digital label. The album also features contributions from Cole Alexander of Black Lips.
Below, check out a teaser video shot during sessions for the LP, featuring both Cox and Alexander, as well as the album cover art.
