I'm still expecting The Strokes and would be very bummed if they are not there. The new album should be interesting and the new single is pretty good. Perfect Which Stage band, either in Weezer or Phoenix spot.
It's the worst out of the three, but it's not that bad.
No, it's not bad, but it's certainly not great. There are a few songs on there that I really dig, but I was and am still so disappointed by it, as it was such a drastic drop in qualityIMO. Room On Fire was a grower, that's for sure. For me, I'd rate their albums like this; Is This It *****, Room On Fire ****, and First Impressions Of Earth at **1/2.
Couldn't really get into Casablanca's solo record, either.

Julian had nothing to do with the recording process this time other than just laying down vocals. So you won't have to worry about it sounding anything like that.

The Strokes headlined Lollapalooza last year, in the latest time slot, and killed it. Absolutely. I was never into them aside from the obvious single or two back in the day but they stole the show. If they play at Bonnaroo, which I fully support, I would hope it's sometime much later than sundown.

I'd like to see something recent saying this.
The Strokes are set to give away their new single 'Under cover of darkness' as a free download tomorrow thestrokes.com/
I thought that I read that Casablancas laid down the vocals separately from the rest of the band. Not that that's all he did. I'm sure he had more input than just vocals.

Nice, things are coming up Milhouse for Garage it seems.
No but they do seem more likely at this point, especially after they said they are lining up US dates in June. At least means they are stateside during 'Roo.

their newest song sounds great and I can't wait for the album to drop. bonnaroo would seriously miss out if they don't book The Strokes after a highly anticipated album and tour
Hopefully they add some actual tour dates and not just play festivals.
For sure.
Saw Julian at the Ogden here a couple months back. It was a fun show, but he needs the band. My admission was comped - like probably a couple hundred others - via a free voucher, which they were tossing around like confetti after a VERY sold out Phoenix show the night prior.
