Plant is going to be in Colorado at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival the weekend after Bonnaroo, and he's also playing the New Orleans Jass Fest, so he's definitely making the festival rounds.
I can see him coming through Bonnaroo again. His shows have been well-reviewed so I would enjoy seeing him.
The JazzFest and Wanee adds definitely make me think we will see Plant and his band at Roo. People were obviously talking about him for Coachella but clearly he had something else in mind. I think the Roo crowd and a little country feel also helps this idea. Probably would play a late afternoon/evening set?

i agree. even before he added more US tour dates and started getting booked for summer festivals i thought this was might happen. its just been getting more and more likely over the past couple weeks.

I could see it happening. Would rather see Robert Plant play with another band.....but whatever. I wouldn't be surprised to see him show up at Roo with this group.
Please, Robert Plant in any form, with any band. I love the B of J CD and I've had the hots for him since the early 70's....lol. Would be great to see him live on stage with thousands of my best friends...
Here's a confirmation straight from the artist's mouth.
I saw Robert Plant and Band of Joy last night in Washington DC, and at the end of the show Robert said "We'll see you this summer at Bonnaroo" before walking off the stage.
And to double-confirm what they said I found a blog that reviewed the show and said the same thing about Roo:
They did mention that they are booked for Bonnaroo later this year. Definitely a worthy ticket.
He is playing 2 nights in Nashville in the coming months..
I heard this on the radio the other day, I think it's Feb 8 and 9, and I think it was at War Memorial? Would love to go see but saving for my Roo ticket.
Awesome, awesome, just freakin' awesome! Bonnaroo just got that much more likely for me, and I'm now at the point where I'd be more surprised if I didn't go. ;D I could have seen them at the House of Blues here in Boston, which would have been amazing to see a rock legend in a 2,500 capacity club, but tickets were like $70 for the cheapest ones and I thought that money would be better spent going towards a Roo ticket. Guess I was right!
Seeing the video of that makes me feel so much more excited. Not that I distrusted the poster who said he'd be there, but we just hear so many fake rumors that you have to be skeptical of everything. But seeing it on a blog and especially watching that YouTube video sent shivers down my spine reminiscing about Sunday afternoon in 2008.
I've been wanting Plant back ever since he walked off stage and said "see you soon". As much as I loved that set (and I really did love it, easily in my top 5 shows throughout 2008), it's nice that we're getting a bit more Zeppelin-oriented stuff with Band of Joy.
Nice to see the double confirmation. I bet he plays What again. Can't wait!
AAgreed. The only way Robert Plant wouldn't be on the What stage would be if he was involved in a Superjam.
Even then, that seems unlikely. I suppose it's not impossible as John Paul Jones did play in a tent during the 2007 superjam, but that does seem like a stretch, especially for Plant, who's a bit bigger. They could potentially fit in as a late night on Which Stage, but I don't really think their music fits that vibe as much. He'll probably be a pre-headliner again, and an awesome one at that.

I assume North Mississippi AllStars will be at Roo also, since they're the opening band on this tour.
This will be way more exciting than he was with Krauss (I loved that album, just not too exciting live). This will be like the Mighty Rearranger tour...the Zep will hit zee fan! !
