Well GC said to run with the makeup idea and did not confirm so it could be the comedy portion of roo. Female comedian possibly? Don't know too many up and coming female comedians besides Whitney Cummings but she does not really fit the clue....

I find it interesting that he specifically steered us away from paint but toward makeup. When you think red, white, and blue makeup you tend to start thinking like face paint or stage makeup - like clowns. Even Dee Snider's makeup is veering a little towards face paint, at least enough so that if it was someone along those lines I'm not sure Gary would have steered us away from paint.
So what could it be that makeup would be right for but paint would be wrong?

okay.....this is a bit of a stretch. but let's see if it works.
Red, White, and Blue are all a part of this young palette. A farm heathen disguised among giants, the only Ten I see.
"Red, White, and Blue are all a part of this" - obviously the image above which is iconic with The Grateful Dead. Not too mention the U.S. blues which has Red, White, and Blue in the lyrics
"young palette" - clearly The Dead aren't young.....but perhaps the young palette is referring to Furthur, which is a new (young) outlet for Phil and Bobby to play the Dead tunes.
"A farm heathen disguised among giants" - not sure how it's a heathen, but Furthur is a group that has giants of the jam scene in it
"the only Ten I See" - Tennessee Jed?
lol well this is definitely a stretch. and I don't really think that this is for Furthur.......I just couldn't believe that the grateful dead image wasn't brought up earlier.

What about MGMT? They're a young band from Tennessee, they played a hell of a set in '10... could be the heathen link.
While I would love for it to be MGMT, they're not from Tennessee. Andrew is from Memphis, but they met at Wesleyan, which is in CT. Also, they didn't play Bonnaroo in '10.
I figured out that they weren't from TN, but I was totally going to try to argue about them playing '10 until I realized that it was '09! lol!!! Looks like all my roo's are running together!
Red, White, and Blue – their genre is listed as Americana Farm heathen – ragweed is a pest to farms Giants – they played against They Might Be Giants last year Only Ten I See – they have 10 albums

I think I read somewhere that they were on hiatus.
