So I'm coming to the brunch... but I can't think of what to bring! Does anyone have any suggestions? It needs to be something that I can make Monday night / Tuesday morning and which will still be good after half a week and 1,100 miles in a cooler.
JHo, what kind of pickles are we talking here? Because I do love a good kosher dill - haters be damned!
Jack, candy/chewing gum, all good ideas pretzels, ritz crackers or wheat thins, etc...you could even partner up with someone closer to bring cheese to go with them.
(Have you ever tried a dill pickle/cheese combined bite? It's heaven y'all)
I just went back and looked at the list for who's coming, along with the menu thus far, and I'm gettting soooooooooo excited!!!!!
Still trying out recipes in the test kitchen here...a new one or two or three every week...so still don't know what I'm bringing....my challenges are similar to many...have to be able to transport, keep chilled and/or reheat...
but promise some nommity noms from the house of zen!

I would like to come (if only to say thanks for all the help I got this year, yinz are truly amazing!!) and I'm thinking about bringing my homemade vodka punch with pieces of frozen fruit in it. I'll take the next few weeks to make sure I get the recipe just right!
I can't believe this is less than two months away and I still don't know what to bring! Time to get my brain in gear I guess. But again, I am no cook of any such sort, so it'll just be somethin' practical or beer/alcohol related.
Just realized I haven't rsvp'd for this yet. I am going to make it for sure. I'm not really so good at making food, but I'll think of something to bring.

Okay we are definitely bringing smoked slamon from the northwest ... obviously won't be caught fresh but it'll be great nonetheless ... also will have some fine wines from our region to share
The Thermals May 20th Sasquatch May 27-30 Bonnaroo June 9-12 Brett Dennen June 15 Tim McGraw June 17th My Morning Jacket June 28 Toby Keith Aug 16 DMB Caravan Sept 2-4
This sounds like so much fun, and surely the best meal of the weekend! I'd love to be part of it. Not sure yet what to bring yet but it will be gluten free. Anyone else gluten free here?
Ok - I have to add that I'll be brining New Orleans Bacon Pralines also - a friend made them and they are yummy and if she won't make more for me - I'll just make them to bring with the bacon/chocolate ganache filled king cake topped with maple frosting and bacon
I am starting to second guess bringing oreo truffles. I didn't take into consideration how important it is to keep them cold, that, and it would take approx 6 hours to make enough for brunch.

I'm not but we have a gluten-free person in our camp, I'm bringing her gluten-free pancakes, should I make extra and bring them to the brunch? (Along with the already promised jello shots)

I dont know if this has been suggested but why dont we make a Facebook event page for the brunch? With the exact date, time, location etc. That way a lot of us could just pull it up on our phones when we get there and have another page to talk about it for the next two months.

That's very nice of you to offer but it's not necessary. I was just wondering if anyone else will have to bypass some of this great sounding food. I'm glad to know someone will be there to commiserate with ... might try a jello shot though!

Why do you tempt me with your liquor fruit concoction every where I go?!?! hahaha, I mosey about in just a few threads but I keep stumbling upon this temptation of liquor and frozen fruit!
I'm probably going to bring some for the camp to drink Wednesday night but I'm almost going to be disappointed if I don't run into you at roo a thousand times and you don't have a cup ready and waiting each time....
I've been racking my brain trying to think of something to make with no luck. I figure it'll come to me in a dream, a tasty, tasty dream.

As a Type 1 Diabetic I too will have to miss out on a lot of this very delicious soundin' food. But it's okay, I never had much of a taste fer sweets, which it sounds will be plenty of. But all this bacon stuff...that just sounds too good...might have to take some extra insulin!
for those of you traveling long distances....you could buy a bag of ice on the way to the brunch. im sure it will be used at the inforoo camp site. i would think diet coke or coke would also be welcomed. also...some sort of liquor to dd to the drinks there would work.

I'm very happy to be able to say I will DEFINITELY be attending the brunch! And of course, performing my happy dance.
I'm also so excited that we'll be driving this year which means I'll finally get an opportunity to bring something truly awesome for you guys! Of course, it'll have to be able to survive 1000 miles in the car plus survive in the cooler for a day of Roo heat, but I think I can manage it. Now to figure out what I should be bringing.
I'm in. I don't know man people on here but damned if I don't make some friends at this brunch! 39 days, feel like I want to die. Also, I'll bring something tasty. Not sure hat yet but isles gonna be good. I'm pumped to meet everybody and get roo kicked off right, even though it's really the second day.

Oh my. This is going to be embarrassing...
Oh, and I too will be plus one as I'll have the boyfriend with me. Can't wait for you all to meet him! And he is a huge fan of bacon (well, and so am I), so this will be a perfect match.
