I'm distracted by snow right now. We got more than 15cm (6inches) overnight and are expecting the same amount through today. Good old spring time in Calgary. I'll post pics later.

Most of the east coast and Quebec got tons of snow yesterday, but luckily it missed us here in Montreal.
And once it starts to warm up, practice setting up your campsite for time.
You'll need it come the landgrab.
I'm hoping Phish @ Bethel Woods & Mountain Jam provide needed distractions, as both are "mini-roo" trips for me (about an hour from both trips, camping out for both). Figure dry runs in the weekends leading up to Roo couldn't hurt.
Ok, did some EL wire research. I'm going to order 30 feet with a sound activated inverter, probably from here. www.elwirepros.com/index.html I think I'm going to use it all in a shirt with a trippy design. Should be fun for a night or two. Thanks for the great idea!
OK I need some help figuring out this EL wire. I understand that you can order any length of it you need, but I don't get how you connect the different strips of it to your costume or body suit. Wouldn't it have to be one continuous strip of wire in order to power it? And if so, how do you make a stickman costume (for example) out of one strip. Wouldn't multiple strips be necessary for arms, legs, head, etc.?
I'm trying to decide if the waiting game was worse for my first time or this time. I didn't really know what to expect going into my first 'Roo which added a different kind of anticipation than now. But since I know what lies ahead of me, I'm geekin' out! We are getting so close people! The hard part is almost over. Also, it seems as though I need to start my Bonnaroo pile!
How I spend my time?! Research and !nforoo!! (though I mostly just lurk..) The day the lineup came out, I made an excel file (my A-type side coming out, I guess!) of all the artists. In the column next to it I rate how badly I want to see each artist. The ones I don't know, I youtube. I go through the list at least twice... then start buying My newest fav that has come from the list if The Head and the Heart. I just bought their album and have been listening to it non-stop the past few days...
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Nevermind, I figured it out.
The trick is to poke holes in the shirt so the wire can run through the inside so your design doesn't have to be one continuous strand.
Well I'm actually going make make more of a full body stickman design. I've already received the EL wire and it works so now I'm waiting on the full body black spandex suit which should arrive this week or next.

^^^^^^I've done a lot of EL research for a costume I am making. From what I've read, you may need a stiffer fabric than spandex. The wire is fairly rigid, and will therefore dominate the shape of your suit as well, thus determining how it drapes. A fabric with a constitution similiar to the EL Wire is favorable.
Of course, if that is not a concern of yours, it won't really matter.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
One thing that I'm doing is not counting the weekends in the days left till Roo....right now there is technically 56 days till roo, but if you skip the weekends (Saturday/Sunday), it is only 40....that seems much more managable.
I am counting the days until my first mixed martial arts fight which is 30 days away. After that Roo is only 3 weeks away which I will take that time off from training to heal get Roo stuff together and enjoy Roo then back to the gym for training. Anyone in the Chicago area is welcome to come it will be downtown
I'm so busy with kids (one a Senior this year and my other teenager made the cheerleading team) that I barely have time to think about 'roo and anticipate anything at this point.

Hmmm this makes me kind of nervous because I already placed the order for the spandex. What if you bend the EL wire into the desired shaped? will it still dominate the costume? And my EL wire is 2.7mm

I think it depends on what you are doing with it. If you are doing a "Stickman", I guess you kind of want it to be, well, sticklike, so the stiffness would be OK?
It'll look great I'm sure, you'll work it out codyryan!
