Second roo this year. We tried a meetup last year and it was a bit difficult due to crappy cell service @ roo, dead batteries, conflicting schedule's etc.
If people are serious about a meetup we should try to plan in advance IMHO.
If anyone wants to caravan in, we are staying in Chattanooga, TN Wed night. Then we wake up early Thursday and ride into the farm. Worked out very well for us last year.

I stay pretty quiet on this board even though this will be my third 'Roo :-) I myself am gay and will be there as press with my fiancee (it's his first time on the farm!), I know we'd definitely be up for meeting some of the 'family', so let's get something locked down :-D
Plus, it'd be cool to know some other people there to maybe go to a few of the shows with that I won't be able to drag my bf to (i.e. The Walkmen, Ratatat, The Black Angels, etc.).
Actually, I think meeting at Brunch would be a pretty fantastic idea! We can meet up with our fellow inforooers AND our LGBT comrades. Two birds with one stone

hey everyone- new roo guy here, 23, coming from cleveland- looking to carpool, maybe tentpool with someone too, haha- I have zero camping gear, and while i can purchase some stuff, there has to be a simpler solution. let me know if anyone is interested!
If Chicago was closer to Cleveland, we'd help ya out - but for your tent situation, just buy a tent at Target and return it when you get back. I work for Target and they take ANYTHING back as long as you have the packaging (one year, I couldn't even get the tent back in the bag and they still took it) and it's within 90 days of when you bought it. Plus it's nice to come home to a little bit of money like that too, so it's kind of an investment if you want to look at it like that . . . haha

Drinks, food, fellow Inforooers of all kids, Scrog-a-Roo Scholarship winners doing their choreographed "happy dances"; it's all there. I will be making friends with my neighbors/chillin' on Thursday, but if there is another meet-up I will def try to make it. If not, I hope to see you all at Brunch!

We are camping in VIP and the "gay neighbor friends" we made from last year aren't coming this year. (They didn't like the lineup)
We live in Knoxville and will be heading there Thursday morning, don't have a set time that we are leaving but we're flexible so we can meet up with someone.
I also would love to be involved with the Pride event that someone was talking about.

The wife and I are camping VIP as well. We will be with Camp Inforoo VIP. There are over 40 in our group so far and we are all going to roll in together on Thursday AM. Not sure how many other "family" members are in the group, but they all seem very chill and definitely fun! I am sure we will all be Roo family by the end of the weekend.
And in no way does it matter gay, straight, extraterrestrial, but I do think a Pride event would be outstanding! And no matter what, I'm looking forward to finally meeting some Inforoo peeps almost as much as I am looking forward to Shpongle melting my face, and that's a major statement lol 5 years since my last Roo I cannot wait!

Hey kids, we are Kevin and Dan coming all the way from Erie, PA. We're chill homos seeking communal fun with other humble homos at Bonnaroo. We are 5th and 7th-year Roo'ers and always end up going on our own, friends constantly bail at the last minute, blah blah. HOping to shake that up this year and hang with some awesome gays. No drama here, just fun-loving good times and looking to cut the floor (er...dirt) at the Scissor Sisters late night set!

Scissor Sisters is going to be a HUGE sausagefest, I cannot wait. Sex within the first day or so at Roo is advised. Beyond the first day, at your own risk. But it's a festival, you just gotta fool around I'll be hitting up Florence, Scissor Sisters, Em, Allison Krause, Decemberists, Jack White, Loretta Lynn. I was going to attend either Iron&Wine or Greg Allman unless someone can convince me to go to Robyn's instead.

Robyn is a must see for me and i've already seen her several times the past year. If you haven't seen her live i highly recommend it. Loretta Lynn is the same time as Mumford so i'll have to miss her.
