Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Alright folks, here is a thread to submit your T-Shirt designs.
We got about 4 months til the festival, so we will let this thread run til Saturday March 19th, take submissions for design ideas, and then have a voting poll after this one is closed.
Go ahead and discuss them here, I will try to move all of the submissions to the main page each day.
As far as designs go, you know you cant use any logos or designs that roo owns the copyright on (or anyone else).
Remember that this is the 10th aniv of roo and the 6th aniv of inforoo.
As far as prizes go, for one, you win bragging rights that your design was selected as the official inforoo t-shirt of 2011. What more do you need?
Well, we have more for you....

It's a start, and adding a lineup is easy-peasy if thats what you guys are into. I needed something to take my mind off of just seeing Black Swan and Winter's Bone back-to-back. Brutal, eh?
The white stuff is all transparent, so if it does go to print, it could be on any colour shirt.
I'd say heather gray, but it may make the inforoo community seem like a quite sweaty bunch.
is the Bonnaroo "double O" symbol itself trademarked, or can it be used for designs? incorporating that into a design would look cool, if it's not a TM infringement...

Astralpitch, I like the blue and purple one. A suggestion though, instead of using a raster/bitmap image (if you're using photoshop or gIMP or something), make a vector image with adobe illustrator or inkscape (free). That way the image can be printed at any size without losing resolution. It'll also take care of those messy edges. Another way to get rid of the messy edges while still using a raster image program is to select the space around the subject with the select by color tool, invert the selection, selection to path, and stroke path with a nice clean brush tool. You'll get a nice clean border around the text instead of the jaggedys. You could also increase the resolution from 300dpi to 600. It'll jack up the file size but That won't matter when it goes to print.

Thanks for the heads up! I've been meaning to hit them with a fuzzy tool, but these were quick offhand bits. And its the photog in me that's thinking "for web use? I should save as a jpg or gif"

The bonnaroo symbol is WAY copyrighted. Superfly and AC do like us, but I would not make the assumption that their lawyers do. Besides, we have more than enough creative minds on this board to come up with something that doesn't infringe on anyone's intellectual property rights. Astralpitch is proof.

Okay, here's the front:
(please see my post on page 2 of this thread)
And here's the back:
For those new to the party: Matt's tree that we planted on the farm is a sugar maple, that's the reason for all the leaves, and the different color leaves are the colors that sugar maples turn through the year. He liked fleur-de-lis, wore a hat pin with one, spent lots of energy rebuilding New Orleans. The shoes are his CarpeDM's, and the sugar maple angel wings should be pretty obvious. The Latin on the front means "in memory, spirit, and truth" and the roman numerals mean 1980-2010.

astralpitch - I really like your first one! And considering that some years the t-shirt has been so guy-friendly, it'd be nice to have a very girl-friendly one!
i agree with what everyone is saying, vector your images are beautiful!
my only concern is that to me, it does look a little serious. i feel like that would be an awesome shirt for raising money for matt's tree fund. i think we should do a remembrance of him somewhere on the shirt (or i love the button idea someone suggested-JHo i think....), but i guess i just would want something a little more bright and bonnaroo inspired.
