Great GL. I was hoping to hear from you. Sounds like we will know what to expect on Friday and I'm certainly OK with that setlist. How was Down By The River solo? I like his new sfuff and I bet that was really good. What's your critique on the performance?

Really thought long and hard about the T.O. shows but man is that a lot of money. Also, an $85 ticket (plus service charges) at Massey Hall would be terrible.
The only reason I passed on Neil this time around is because I have had the pleasure enough times in the past to spend that money on other shows.

I'm working on it now. It was great for a solo show. The setlist worked well. He wasn't very talkative at all this show. Very cut and dry play a song and then into another.
Down By The River was really really good. A definite highlight.
Just got back and OMG good. I'm one that is disappointed when the live vocals do not compare to all of the studio remixing. Great pure sound! Not Dylanish fading/stuggling. Sound same as the recordings.
My only down side which quacker dismisses as 'being an artist' is what has been mentioned before. No 'chat'. For the $ that Neil commands, it would be nice if he could at least say 'thanks for coming out tonight'. Debate on.. ??? Should an artist commanding $150 minimum a seat at least briefly acknowledge the fans, or is said artist entitled to not say a word and just play? (phenomonally!)
Fantastic show. I know what fawnmart is saying but I didn't feel "distanced" and the vibe was great. But he didn't really engage either so there is the rub. I'm a happy guy.

This wasn't just you. He's not much of a talker. I think the most that he has ever said as I've seen him "chatty" came last year in SC where he talked for a few seconds about what was on everyones mind ... the fact that there were 2 Krispy Kreme doughnut shops directly across the street from one another.
I think thats mostly because he's trying to cram as many songs in the set as he can before he leaves. 17 songs doesn't even scratch the surface of his catalog. I agree with you to an extent that it would be nice but would you rather miss say Cortez and Cinnamon Girl because he talked? Not me. Play on.
I'm glad you guys had fun. Now lets keep the flame going for Buffalo Spingfield.

Well put, and you are absolutely right! Play on!!
I do hope you guys got a stunning show last night. sugarmtn.org is saying it's the same setlist as I got. I was stoked with that one ... BUT I really wanted Old Man.

My gf caught the Chicago show with her dad. Front row $900 for 2 tickets, $300 hotel room. She was blown away. Her Dad was ready to catch the next show.
A Thieve's Parade 2/24 Conspirator 2/26 Kevin Smith 3/11 Keller 3/17 Papadosio 3/18 JJ Grey 3/25 Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer 3/26 Toubab Krewe 3/27 O'Death 4/11 Budos Band 4/22 EOTO 4/28 Summer Camp 5/6-29 All Good
We were so happy to catch him solo this year. It was a truly amazing show. And now we get to see him on stage with Stephen Stills and Richie Furay? It just keep getting better...
