I knew nothing about Dam-Funk prior to the lineup announcement, but having listened to them a bunch since then, I think they are going to throw quite the dance party.
I can't believe !!! is getting snubbed on a LN again. I know there are a lot of great contenders, but they really deserve it.
Either way, that crowd is going to pop off.
Any possibility they are listed as Sunday because they aren't starting until post-midnight Saturday (technically Sunday morning)? Not sure what the convention is for bands who don't start until after midnight.
girl talk and bassnectar are so played out. jeez. if those are the best dance parties we're in trouble.
Yeah jeez if the guy that is known for throwing THE best parties is supposed to have one of the best parties, then we sure must be in trouble.
yeah dude, two years ago. you can't keep doing the same exact thing forever and expect people to not get tired of it. that's the case here. people are starting to get tired of it. will it be fun? maybe. is it the same crap, and does it reek of weak and half-assed booking by bonnaroo? you bet.

Typically bands will list that they are playing Saturday if it's a LN after midnight, but this could be the exception. Doubt it, though.

you do realize both Bassnectar and Girl Talks have made more music since their last appearances, right? Neither will play the same set they did the last time they were at the festival.

Its not even like girltalk shows are the same from night to night anyway. Its the same crap in the sense that its still mashup music, but you most certainly will be a new and different show.
Why is it weak and half-assed of bonnaroo? Girltalk and bassnectar have both put out awesome music this year, and in the case of bassnectar is new and different then his other stuff. His shows progress every single tour, to say he's still playing the same exact thing over and over is pretty stupid.

based on personal experience i would have to say pretty lights. friends of mine have said bassnectar puts on a better show then pretty lights. i will find out for myself when bassnectar comes to omaha in april i cant wait! have never seen them live before.
i just saw Girl Talk last week up near Ann Arbor and it was a great time. I dont know if ill see him again or not a Roo, it will depend on conflicts, but for somebody looking for nothing more then a party, you really cant got wrong with Girl Talk.
no no no people will not be dancing at bassnectar and girl talk and pretty lights, they will be raging . there's a difference.
EXACTLY. I put my money on Bassnectar being the biggest rager.
But as far as actual dancing goes, i gotta say the Funk will bring it. The whole Bootsy/Dem Funk contingent just have beats that are excellent for grooving. A funky bass just brings out the booty.

girl talk will probably draw the biggest "party" but as i say everywhere else, awesome for the people that want to see anyone else. having that many people at a tent really thins out the crowd where you want to get down. i love listening to girl talk in the car or at a party, but i'd rather see something else live. just not my thing live.
i think i'll probably dance the most at pretty lights, ratatat, sci, dr. john. to name a few
