I think usually bring about 400-500$. I don't think I usually spend it all, don't really recall. In 09 I used my credit card at the merch table which I am glad they take.
i usually bring about 400 bucks, ( not including trip there or back )usually spend like 200 or so depending on how well prepared i am with corn and booze before roo...
this year I'm going to budget extra though... i want to make sure i have a few hundred each for fancy jeans and crappy t shirts
i kid, I'm on neither side... but thoroughly entertained!
Last year I spent about $200 and took about $300. I will probably do about the same or just a little more this year. I never want to feel short of cash at 'Roo. Better safe than sorry.

That's exactly how I feel, but my sister keeps telling me to bring less money. "If you bring more money, you'll spend more money." Sigh.

you should just bring booze from minnesota and sell it at the farm!
booze is so cheap up there! haha.. or bring it to trade!!!
my wife and i have $1,000 put back for 'roo. we still have to buy most of our food and drink supplies, and maybe a few camping supplies, but we plan on having around $800 cash for the both of us. it is her first 'roo, so i want to make sure we do it right. we aren't going to try to cook meals at our camp, but rather just bring in snack stuff and things for breakfast. we'll buy a few t-shirts and lots of "party" supplies, so i think this is a good amount. i took $400 last year when i volunteered and came home with $21, and i only bought 1 t-shirt...

Wow, it got cuckoo-bananas in here!!
To answer the original question...Budgeted $1300-$1500 for the whole trip, but that's including $450 in gas and two weeks of 'do whatever the quack I want' on either side of 'Roo. I don't really plan to spend all that much money while I'm at Roo...grillin' at camp is one of the things I'm most looking forward to, so I figure I'll pack in most of the food/booze I'll need.
Anyway (and my first post here!), my friend and I are trying to figure out how much alcohol to bring. What does one beer usually cost? And what does a typical meal usually cost?

I usually bring around $250, but we save money by eating a lot of meals at our campsite. Most of that goes to snacks and the B'Rooers Tent. That place gobbles up my money, but I never leave with any regrets.
Strippers in the campground! Now that is one thing I didn't see in 2007. I saw a dude fight a sign, and lose. I saw a boyscout doing jumping jacks at 8:00am. I saw some dude jump out from behind a car trying to sell me "nugs" (scaring the living shit out of me - for reasons I won't mention), but I did not at any point see strippers. But I will be keeping my eye out this year. Could be a nice way to spend a Friday morning. I'll bring singles.
How much booze or food you bring will depend on how much time you intend to spend at your campsite. If you want to spend all day in Centeroo either bring food with you or expect to spend a bit on vendor crap. If you expect to catch a booze buzz in Centeroo you're pretty much going to spend money or smuggle in something strong. You can't bring in bulk booze but foodstuffs are OK.

usually $500-$800 for two people tryin to get to $1000 year but will prob. have around $800 we normally spilt two vendors a day give or take one but we like small souvenirs and spend to much on party favors thats where most of that goes I just dont ever want to get there and think I only this much money left gotta make it last
but my brother norm. goes down with $200-$300 and makes it and he drinks a lot in and out of centeroo

Sexy girl rocks a poll at Bonnaroo is classic! My wife would love (Not really) it if I told her I was bringing a bunch of $1 bills for the campsite strippers.
If I were to eat most of my own food that I bring, how much would one reccomend bringing for other things at roo?
It depends what other activities you're looking to do. They supply (natural) spring water for free, so that's taken care of. If you're looking to have some drinks (booze) here and there and maybe some no no word, you probably only need like $200.
I guess it depends on what you're looking to do while you're down there, though.
