^the thing is that the farm is mowed, relatively treeless, and unoccupied by livestock for the the whole year. I have been going to Bonnaroo for 6 years now and I have never had a chigger, tick, or mosquito bother me yet. The other thing is that there is not a resident insect population ready to prey upon 80k people.

I get bitten by Mosquitos if there are any around and the bites swell to the size of quarters.. And I don't remember getting bit at all. As for ticks.. Do tick checks throughout the day and try to avoid and tall gass or low hanging branches.. And you have to be careful with removal and make sure you get the head-- tweezers work well- i knew a guy who had hundreds latch on while working on a landsurveying crew and i think he used bleach to get them off...And chiggers.. Pack a bottle of clear nail polish or chigger rid and pray for the best. I would also pack some topical steroids or something in case of spider bites. Taking those steps should really be all you need to do.
Does the medical tent have stuff to help with bug bites? I can handle mosquitoes. They are pretty much the state bird here. It's the other creepy crawlies that freak me out.

There is not much on the farm to worry about, just bring some benadryl if you are really worried, that will take the sting and itchiness out of almost anything that will get you down here.
Dudes, I'm a mosquito magnet, and I've never had a bite at Roo. I've also never had a tick, but I suppose that's more likely than a mosquito.
Yep me to. I live in Nashville and if I go outside for 5 minutes during the summer I get bug bites. In 6 years of going to Roo, I've never been bitten or stung by anything there.
^Thank you. These bug threads are messing with my head!
I'm not even afraid of spiders, and I had a messed up dream about that camel spider picture last night!!
But I don't think critters are going to be that big a deal. I'm going to bring a little eucalyptus oil just in case, figure it can't hurt for around the tent.
