I just had to dig my wristband out of the garbage. My wife thought the envelope was garbage and tossed it. Thankfully I walked by my desk one last time tonight and noticed it missing.

Nice! Ours inadvertantly got put into grandma's car by my 6 year old. We had to call her and have her come back over before it suffered a similar fate.
Quick question for the folks that already have the wristbands in possesion. My wife and I are picking our wristbands up from local manchester folk that pick up there free wristband's from the local authorities in Manchester. What that means is that they will have to slip them off of their wrists and for us to then slide them on ourselves. Do the wristbands have any give to them and are the clasps actually snapped on, our are they like the last few years where it had the teeth in them?
Thank you in advance, and this will be my 5th year at the roo as long as I can manage to get it onto my wrist...lol.
I'm not to sure if that will work because they specificlly say not to put them on before you arrive so there staff at the tollbooths can do it. They are also long enough that some will be cut off once put on. My guess is so that they can be cut to fit any sized wrist. As far as the bands themselves, they feel like a soft plastic and would have only a little give in them. But you also have the RFID thingy which is kinda like a tracking device that gets scaned when you enter and leave the festival. They are also color coded as well. Blue being GA and green being VIP i think. The clasp seem kinda like a pop rivit with a single button pushing through a hole to stay on by. Last but not least, theres the online wristband registration. If your legit you might be OK but will have to be very carefull with them, though you still gotta figure out the putting on the wristband issue because you can't do it before you arrive, Unless you do this after the 9:00pm on Friday reenter rule. But if its already been cut to size I'm sure the guys at the gates will ask why up until then. Now if your not legit, GO AWAY!
True, they do say not to put them on prior to the festival starting, but the local resident's have their wristbands placed on their wrists when they pick up their wristband at the local facility and not at the bonnaroo entrance. That is unless they are doing it differently this year and will just give the locals the wristband and then have them placed by roo staff on the grounds (I dont see this happening because that would make it extremely easy to be able to sell the wristbands, instead of the difficulty of having them already placed by local authorities).
Either way it should work out because I do not think they are going to look at your drivers liscence or an ID at the gates and scan the wristband and make sure they match. They should just care that it is an official RFID chip in the wristband because that would cause a huge clusterf**k at the gates and into centeroo if they check everyones liscense. The only issue will be getting the wristband off of the local and placed on your wrist. I also think I read that you can change the information on the RFID chip to match what you need due to a lot of people actually purchasing tickets as gifts and the person that bought the ticket is not the one going.
Me personally I am ok with the RFID due to the grounds not being as crowded as past years and weed out folks with no wristband or the fake ones (and purchasing a real wristband from a local and placing it on your wrist is not the same thing as making a complete fake). Personally, I would much rather my money go to the local folks due to the amount of insanity they have to go through during the time of the festie.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

Got my shipped e-mail 2:30 a.m. tuesday (tecnically wends), and it said delivery date would be the 27. Got it TODAY! a day later! And they just dropped it off in my box, no signature, didn't even know it arrived. I got it though and now all thats left to wait for is Bonnaroo itself!
I am so pumped. I was stressing out last week about everything, but it all seems to have fallen into place these past few days. Now my tent and EZ-Up are all taken care of, the bracelets are in my hand, and I've booked a flight and a rental car... I'm ready. BRING IT ON!

My sister and I both did payment plan the day they went on sale. She got an email around 1am-ish today saying it was being shipped and is in Virginia. No email for me yet.
I just got my email at 1am. I think everyone who was still waiting got their email last night. I can't believe this thread hit 16 pages before I got my email!
