I've been thinking about leaving too. I know you can turn of notifications but even when I go in there thinking there might be something fun there's just BS...and stupid trolls.
We should make a sooper seekrit NEW facebook group and make a mass exodus from the old one.

Why does inforoo have a Facebook page? I don't do the Facebook, but it just seems odd to me for a message board to have a page on a social media site. Plus all I ever see about it is people on here complaining about it. Lol

Mike Z made it originally and it was run by him and Adam. Now it's him and us, but our official facebook page is the other one. The one everyone mainly posts in is the "group" or whatever.

For purely selfish reasons, I would be inclined to disagree. Simply knowing that cesspool exists makes me feel better about myself on a daily basis. Don't take that from me.

I removed myself from the FB page just a couple of days ago. I got tired of having that shit all over my newsfeed when I actually take the time to look at it. It's reached the Bonnaroo FB page level of terrible.
It's intersting to see people's excitement in 2007 versus the complaints now 8 years later.
Anyway, it's been annoying me too and its my page!! You can however edit the settings so that you don't see anything on your news feed unless your friends with someone who posted it.
And honestly folks, it's the same stuff people post on the boards, buts it's just all on one feed instead of separate threads in even more separated categories, and it's more in your face because Facebook is in your face.
Lastly, I will never delete that group. The 4000 plus pictures alone is reason enough not to.

Yea, I'm still a member of the group and go there but I removed it from being followed and popping up on my feed. Takes over when it starts to be the lineup drop season.
On the bright side, the fb page helped me realize how cynical I really was and inspired me to finally make an account on here after all these years! Cheers!

Like most Facebook posts that include a ton of responses I tend to scroll past the dumb shit and can find some genuine helping hands there too. There's just a lot of bickering about music tastes (as usual).
I enjoy the Inforoo FB page. Its good for a laugh or two..plus I find some good memes on there for my meme vault. I've actually been somewhat active the past several days on there. I've been trying to interact with the other good hearted souls.
