We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

With shows, I don't usually care about recording them too much, I'd rather experience it and live with the memory. But when it's a lecture of Eno giving us his thoughts on a wide variety of topics, I definitely want to be able to at least listen to it again.
I just realized how stacked Friday is going to be for me, after trying to come up with a top 5 for each day. There is 15 bands I wanna see that day vs 5 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday. I'm gonna try anyways.
Friday TVOTR Tangerine Dream FlyLo Little Dragon Austra

Bought my ticket right at noon. Wonder if they will be letting people record.
Nope, sorry folks. No audio recording will be allowed at any of the venues or events for Moogfest. And yes, this is expected to sell out, so I wouldn't wait too long to purchase tickets!
Friday is way too top heavy, to me... I want to see all 3 of the top billed acts, and FlyLo right underneath... I don't think that would end up working.
For Sunday, I'm really only dying to see M83 and the James Murphy thing. Saturday really looks like the best bet for me, scheduling and value wise. I would hate having to miss Tangerine Dream, and TVOTR once a-fucking-gain, though.
I live about 25 minutes outside of Asheville and my friends booked weekend passes and a hotel room a while ago and they have been trying to talk my wife and I into coming for at least one day of shows if not the entire weekend. My wife is still declining, but has loosened the reigns just enough to let me go for one out of the three glorious days. Therefore, I am coming for the Saturday show. I can't wait for Amon Tobin's set, it will be unlike anything I have ever seen before. I hope to still be able to catch some of STS9's set as well. Should be a blast!!!
I saw this comment on facebook and wanted to post it so it may not get lost. It goes along with what Capps was saying in that interview "we are still putting together the schedule but in general the music will not get going till early evening (like 5 or 6pm) on Friday but other things like panels, workshops and maybe some surprises will start earlier in the day."

Has this been mentioned? A little blurb posted on the schedule page "Schedule is subject to change. A full interactive schedule with times and venues that will sync with your smart phone will be released in mid October so stay tuned and get ready for a mind blowing weekend in the 4th dimension!"

After seeing TVOTR last night I'm gonna tell you they moved to #1 on my list of must sees. The 1,2,3 punch of Staring At The Sun> Repetition> Wolf Like Me is the best I have heard in a long time, not just from them ... but any touring band in America.
So, if they're up against Moby and Tangerine Dream... really, skip to go see them? I love TVOTR and have wanted to see them for as long as I've been into them (around Desperate Youth...), but have heard mixed things about their show.
Damn it, this would make Friday evening 20 times harder if they're as good as you say.

TD is the only band I'm questioning at this point, honestly. And thats because it's once in a lifetime .... For me.

Sorry to hear that Katy.
Finally decided to tackle my top 5 per day. This list is very much so influenced by the fact that I'll be seeing multiple artists before and after the fest in Orlando, as well as a few at ATP. So here it goes...
Friday: 1. Moby 1. Flying Lotus 1. Matthew Dear 4. TV on the Radio 5. Tangerine Dream/Little Dragon
Saturday: 1. Amon Tobin 1. Brandt Brauer Frick 1. St. Vincent 4. Twin Shadow 5. SBTRKT/Tim Hecker
Sunday 1. Special Disco Version 1. M83 3. Gold Panda 4. Glasser 5. Baths/Childish Gambino

I doubt I see TVOTR at Moog, there's just too many other options. I enjoyed them at Pitchfork (especially that three song stretch mentioned above), but that performance kind of solidified my opinion of the band - I like them quite a bit, and I love a few of their songs, but they'll never be one of my personal favorites. I'd see them over Moby and maybe Chromeo, but if they conflict with TD, FlyLo, The Antlers, Lunz, Little Dragon, Holy Quack, Austra....easy decision. It would be harder if I hadn't already seen them once this year, though.
