OK folks, so I finally found the time to make it over and grab a couple of pics. These were taken last night right as it was getting dusk, so the lighting aint the best, but they are better than nothing.
As you can see, the grafitti wall is going up and the steel is being constructed for the tents. All of the fields have been cut as well. The portos have not been distributed yet, but I expect that to happen this week.
This is the latest they have ever started set up. The main stage being permenant probably has plenty to do with that, but they didnt start set up this year until the 19th.
I will update the thread as the site progresses and, hopefully, the next batch of pics will be a little better!
Updated 5-31-11
I drove by today and the site is even more complete than these pics I am bout to post. I'll try to get by tomorrow and get some up to date ones. Its amazing how much the site has progressed in 4 days.
These were taken Saturday 5-28-11
Sorry they are so big, I shrunk them first, but they sucked.
The tower lost its head!
Rent-a-tent anyone?
Yep, thats a dude painting the arch! Its finished. I'll get a pic of it tomorrow
Think about whats going to be happening right there in about 9 days!!
Who Me?
Until next time (Hopefully tomorrow)...
OK Time for some more pics. These were taken like 20 minutes ago 6-1-11.
OK So it isnt finished, but you get an idea of where they are going
Looks like they are working on the tower. I've been in the old one, it was ROUGH!
You can see the side structures going up on the stage now
Heres what I KNOW you all want to really see
Thats all for now....

The pics rock brother! Thanks for posting them.
Over the last many years it seems they've tweaked the logistics a bit pushing the date they start construction closer to the festival itself. I expect having the main stage as a permanent fixture expedites the preRoo-production even more.
