I'm a newbie and from what I understand they search you when you go into Centeroo right?
How well do they do this? Is having some prescription medicine a bad idea? Should we just keep a few pills hidden on us somewhere as opposed to the bottle?
My hubby has a bad back which he can usually control with no medication at home but certain situations will set it off and standing for a long time is guaranteed to be one of them. So I was just thinking that it would be smart to have some on us at all times in case we can't make it back to our camp.

I'll have mine on me throughout the weekend in my bag. I can't go without it and it's prescribed to me, so they can't take it away from you. I definitely would keep it in the bottle the prescription is in though as they might think you're black marketing them or something.
I took my Xanax in to Centeroo no problem last year, it was in my pharmacy bottle with my name on the prescription. I had my ID in case they wanted to reference it but they didn't.

Prescritions should be in the bottles they were dispensed in from the pharmacy with the pharmacy name and your name and the prescription number. If not, and the law really wanted to be an a-hole, they can say you had an uncontrolled substance without a prescription. You may be able to put it in another container but then it looses its official labeling once you removed it from the dispensed container. This is the case for liquids anyway. Pills sometimes are a little easier to transfer into a smaller container as long as you have a seperate paper prescription script to go along with it. The law loves to do this to celebrities. I remember when they did a gotcha on Holly Berry and all they could pin on her was "controlled substance in which she could not produce a prescription" which means they found a couple of loose pills in her purse. I don't think anyone would make a case about this comming into Roo. Just don't bring in gobs of unidentified pills in a coolwhip container or something like that.
In TN, it is a criminal offense to carry prescription pills in anything other than the original bottle they were dispensed in. It is also illegal to have different varieties of pills in the same prescription bottle. Depending on the medication, it could be a felony charge with a free trip to the county jail. Just do it legal and you'll have no problem at Centeroo, but if you are chosen for a vehicle search upon entering the grounds, not having things legal could ruin your weekend in a bad way.
I wouldn't try and sneak in your prescriptions. That would look sketchy. Just have the prescription bottle. I've never had any problem carryin' my insulin inside and I'd give 'em hell if they ever do give me any guff.
I never bring mt Rx bottles, just one of those plastic daily pill cases, and have never had a problem. I'm hesitant to bring my entire supply of pills as the heat and humidity can ruin some meds and soften some pills into powder or goo. I have brought along copies of pharmacy info when I can find it. Just saying they are not hard-@sses about this.
Not recommended what I do as there could be a problem (and it's apparently illegal) but I'd just bring only the amount of meds you need in the original bottle and leave the rest at home.
