I forgot about Daft Punk. They would more than make up for a lackluster headlining corps led by RHCP.
Do we forget, Daft Punk is just a perennial Roo phantom? I'd love to see 'em, and there's huge speculation every year, but there's never been even one solid reason to actually expect they'll ever be there?
The original Blair Witch will open when Daft Punk plays.
Man, I really hope it's radiohead. Anthoney Keides' lyrics seem so cheesy to me. The instrumentals can be great at times, but I just can't get into Keides' lyrics. Even more so on the last couple of albums.
Okay real question. If the top line reads something like this:
Radiohead*RHCP*Phish
How quickly does it sell out? Please say not til like May.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band*Phish*David Byrne*Beastie Boys didn't "sell out" until the usual time in late May. I think we'll be okay.
EDIT: Damn, I missed all the excitement last night. Obviously, we're getting Radiohead, RHCP, or both. If it's either/or, then we have either a Friday or Saturday that we're missing, which still leaves the top-o'-the-lineup wide open...

I think that since the festival has grown in popularity since '09 and '10 that it will sell out and sell out pretty quick.
I'm kinda with sda on this one, LG. Last year, GA sold out a month before the line up. I don't think this is gonna be a "Coachella quick" sell out but I'm expecting about the same time frame.

Well, you flipped Beastie & Byrne, but I'm thinking Radiohead/RHCP/Phish would sell out faster than Bruce/Phish/Beastie/Byrne, especially if they have the Beach Boys rounding out the top 4. Kids, with their online purchasing and interwebs, they are what sold out Coachella in like 6 seconds.
Bruce fans aren't camping out in 1000 degree heat to see one Bruce show.
So I'd expect this year to sell out quicker than '09, assuming it's RH/RHCP or Foo/Phish/Beach Boys.

Have we narrowed down the possible Hiphop/Rap/Pop headliner?
I'd say our options are Prince, Lady Gaga, Dre and Snoop, Madonna, and Daft Punk, among others...
But here's a question we don't have an answer for: Do the organizers still consider Kanye West to be an option, even after the 2008 debacle? Would they do that to us?

Insider said last year that Kanye isn't considered anymore.

No she didn't. She just said he wasn't going to be there last year.

I don't think we are getting both Radiohead and Red Hot. If the top 4 acts include Phish and the Beach Boys (And it sounds like it will), theyd be aiming to land a more mainstream act in the Hiphop and Pop category. Naturally, I hope it's Radiohead, because, come on.

I don't have time to read back the last 8 pages before class. I found and read insider's posts, though. Is there any reason this page is full of speculation that both of them will be there?

RHCP was incredible the first time... but that was 22 years ago. They've gotten progressively worse live, shallow live catalog, and AK is clearly just there for the check.

IF it is Radiohead, and of the R bands, Radiohead is clearly the board favorite, they have to be the Saturday headliner. Who plays Friday???? Insider told us last month we we're doing very well this season with our suppositions. I don't see RHCP.... just don't see it. I'm probably in the majority that would love to have Grohl and Co. on the farm. But if not Foo, who are we missing??? I have the gut feeling it was someone discussed only briefly.

So we had five pages of nothing followed by insider giving us one letter yesterday. Maybe 10 pages of nothing means she will give us a couple more letters today. You guys are on your own though. I have actual real life stuff to do.

Because I'd completely dig that Juggs!! Grohl would be perfect for the farm. He's one of the few headliners that would jump on stage with other people. Hell, the covered C-Lo at Hangout last year.
