As for Phish, a facebook friend just posted a "leaked" schedule, which he likely got from PT. It had Phish at Roo on Saturday and Sunday. That would likely mean a Sat. late show on What followed by a Sun. headliner show. Granted, if it's true....
Also, as for the Rod Stewart speculation, insider also said it had been correctly guessed by some of us since her last post. Even though there has been many pages of nonsense since then, I don't recall anyone, let alone several people guessing Rod Stewart since then. The other R_d guesses that have been proposed would have no shot at "headlining" in insider's definition. It is Radiohead.

I was all pumped up about MMJ at Forecastle - and I still am, mind you - but insider's latest appearance made me pretty much forget about Forecastle for the time being. Phish and Radiohead is pretty much a dream scenario for me. Like a live-music nirvana.

OK, so there are 2 bands "headlining" (I use that term relatively loosely) both of who's names begin with an 'R', followed by a vowel, followed by a D - as some of you have correctly speculated after my last post.

It's called a joke
Jeez. I'm aware that your post was a joke, but a few people seemed to seriously suggest it, so I was just trying to help ease minds and completely rule it out.
It's gotta be Radiohead and RHCP - Redman and Rodrigo y Gabriela can't be considered even semi-headliner material for 'Roo, I wouldn't think.
My guess is RHCP is 4th and has the Jay-Z slot on Saturday after Radiohead. The best thing about this (for myself anyway) is that I'd always assumed those two would be top-3. So there's another big name in the top 3 we haven't figured out yet. Has Springsteen been completely ruled out? I know he's in Italy for Thursday and Sunday but he has Friday and Saturday free. I wouldn't think it's impossible to maybe fly back for a Friday or Saturday set. But that's still a stretch.
Maybe it's Paul McCartney. Which would round out a certifiably insane top-3.

Thinking about this potential lineup is killing me. With a Radiohead - Phish - RHCP - ????? top of the bill the undercard will just be icing on the cake. Things are lining up quite nicely.

Dood..."Redman NOT headliner material?" Have you seen him in those Speed Stick commercials? GOLD!
