Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
It also highly likely that the set could be slightly modified for the What Stage configuration and time constraints. It doesn't say anywhere that it has to be the exact same set up as his regular tour.
A question I thought of, since he'll be playing at baseball stadiums, will his "stage setup" include the actual construction of the concert stage (I would assume it does)? Is Stufish going to essentially construct a What Stage for ever show?
If that is the case, wouldn't their setup time for a Roo performance be exponentially cut down due to the fact they'd be relieved of stage-construction duties, and would only have to concentrate on the show visuals/props/etc.?

After seeing the wall tour and thinking about what is really needed. This is very possible to do at Roo. It is nessisary to build the side supports for the wall and put the beginning bricks into place before the show. There is a large door that opens in the wall that is a bed room while this is cool it could be eliminated. After the wall is built the band plays behind the wall and in front of the wall. A small stage in the pit area would be needed and the pit area empty for the bricks to fall. Most of the effects are computer gen so that can be shot on to the wall from the sound board I would think. The show is just under three hours, give 2 hours set up and 1 hour clean up Roo could do some shows on the What early in the day. Last act end at 6pm Roger on stage at 9pm all clear and ready for a late nite at 1am.

I'm curious....I know it's a slightly different animal in terms of how intense it is from a setup standpoint, but did anyone see his "Dark Side of the Moon" Tour at both Coachella and in concert and how did they compare?

I did not see the DSOTM at Coachella but I did see the DSOTM tour here in Dallas. As great as seeing the wall show I actually prefered the DSOTM show it had Floyd songs from all of the different albums as well as the entire DSOTM really changed my mind about Roger Waters.
A baseball stadium may be "outside" in the sense that it doesn't have a roof, but it is nothing like playing at Bonnaroo. Baseball stadiums are just that, stadiums. They have grandstands and rafters that can be utilized for some of the massive stage effects required by The Wall. Plus, when Waters tours he has no opening act because his crew needs an entire day to set up the stage. AC/S isn't going to leave the What Stage empty for an entire day just to set up The Wall.
He's literally working on an outdoor version of the show right now. So, I don't know how you can be so definitive about what he can and can't do. As for baseball stadiums having grandstands and rafters...what does that have to do with his stage setup? Are you saying the effects created with the music won't be as good if they're not being echoed on multiple levels? I don't get this point at all.
I've been to Yankee Stadium for concerts. They'll set up a giant stage in center field (a free-standing stage that has no structural support taken from the stadium itself), so it's essentially playing on the What stage in the middle of a baseball field. I'll also definitely be going to that show, so I don't care if he's at Roo.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I saw Radiohead last night at the Roseland Ballroom. It was incredible. My first time seeing them, and I was blown away. Good news, at the endish of the show when he was thanking audience he said it was good to play the shows and work out how the new stuff would sound live. So that makes me think a tour is somewhere down the road
What would you guys think about a Beck friday night headlining set? He is playing bridge school benefit, but I don't know how likely it is he plays any more shows. He has headlined nights at ACL and outside lands so could he headline roo or is he a late night which role?

he's played roo, and it'd be awesome if he was there, but he wouldn't be a headliner, unless maybe they where throwing alot of money at the other headliners
I quackin hate Coachella...It seems like they always get the acts I want at 'roo' This is our best shot at Radiohead for years, and I think (sadly) that Coachella will snag them... boo

Then in 08 or 09 he headlined acl and he has rarely played shows since. I'm just saying if he were to make a return I don't think it's out of the question for him to be the third name listed and headline friday. The only other place I could see would be late night which, no way he pre headlines again.
Incubus - Modest Mouse Radiohead - Daft Punk Further
Saw Incubus in Camden on Sept 10. Absolutely incredible. Played Are You In? and led it into Riders on the Storm. That band has so much energy live and would absolutely kill it at Bonnaroo.

Since Roger Waters is the hot topic, did anyone see Floyd week on Jimmy Fallon?? Pearl Jam busting out Mother, and the Foo Fighters with Roger doing In the Flesh! Awesome. I caught 3 FF shows a couple weeks back, and they played In the Flesh at the tail end of their main set each of the last two nights. Taylor Hawkins took the vocals (and did great job). How about FF, PJ AND Roger Waters in 2012????
Not sure how to embed a link, but here's my try...

Replace Outkast (yes i know we all want it) with The Roots and I'm pretty much sold. I also think if there would be Outkast they would be billed higher then MMJ (ducks thrown tomatoes)
