Hi everybody! I've been a real lurker on this site for i think a year now...7 days till roo YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
I am volunteering this year, during fest...check in tuesday probably around 5 or 6pm. Anyway this may be a dumb question but i'll ask it just to ease. Supposedly there is a (super?) wal-mart right by roo. my friends and i have decided to get a lot of things (coolers, tarps, etc., etc.,) at that wal-mart to save us some major room in the car (coming from baltimore!)...i'm guessing that walmart gets CRAZY and will probably still be crazy when we are there on tuesday, since gates open on wednesday. has anyone ever been and seen things run out at that walmart? i realllllly want to get my cooler there but i also uh realllllllly wanna be a cooler....safe to get supplies there?
THANKS CAN'T WAIT. this will be my fourth roo and second time volunteering (i hope i get good shifts for this roo so many good artists!)

I would consider stopping at a Wal-Mart that is on the way instead of waiting to get to Manchester. They are usually pretty well stocked on coolers/beer/tarps since they know they are gonna sell it for Roo, but I wouldn't count on it.

Yeah I would definitely stop a little bit outside of Manchester- they could be wiped out and you would be sad.
Walmarts are everywhere, just print a list of ones off that are around Nashville (I am assuming that is the way you are coming) and plan on stopping at one a little further out! Murfreesboro has one and it shouldn't get as hard as Manchester. I live in the area if you need any help just PM me!
allie, I think you're from Baltimore? (I saw you post on the WET forum, I believe)
I'm volunteering too and even though the rush wont be that bad as of Tuesday afternoon, I'd still go to 1 away from there. I'm gonna go to the McMinnville Walmart (not passing through Chattanooga but by Crossville instead) and even staying in a hotel down the road from it on Monday night.
The WalMart right next to Bonnaroo will be completely empty. I recommend the WalMart off exit 82B. I know it's a bit far, but Murfreesboro is just far enough away for you to get lucky and maybe get all of your last minute needs.

we were able to buy a few chairs thursday morning last year, so they defintely are stocked more than your average Wally. that being said, I don't think I would chance it either.
