I plan on buying most of my food from the vendors, so I was wondering what I can expect to spend each day on food if I buy just a lunch and dinner and one snack each day? Thanks!
We buy everything but breakfast in Center most years. We budget ~$10 per meal per person. If you want to count in a snack or random arepa in there I would budget $30 a day for food per person. This, of course, does not include beer.

This is a really helpful thread. I've got to go to the bank tomorrow and get my finances in order, and I had been wondering the same thing. I only usually eat one meal per day in Centeroo and pack snacks for everything else, but it's nice to have a little extra cash just in case. $25 a day seems fair.
I usually bring breakfast snacks. Grab a $1 grilled cheese or other cheap meal from Shakedown during the day, and then splurge for one meal at night. With all the money I spend on beer in Centeroo, my goal is no more than $10 for food per day.
Damn, I do need some spicy pie in my belly real soon or I'm gonna go nuts
$10-15 a day for me personally. I'm usually starving the minute I wake up (7 am), and that's where all the snacks and fruit I've brought down come in hand. I usually make my way to the media area around 10 am, where I get a egg and cheese breakfast burrito and a piece of fruit for like $7 or so. Usually have a few snacks with me, and all of that keeps me going until early evening, where I'll get something small in Centeroo, like Spicy Pie, even though it's crap. On the last day last year I got up the urge to try the fried gator on a stick. Very spicy and hot, didn't even finish it all because of how hot it was outside.

I think between 7-10 dollars per meal sounds about right. I assume you are going to be getting food in Centeroo so this seems about fair. If you drink water, bring in a camelbak or sealed water bottles to Centeroo to save a little money.
