where exactly is pod 2 again? do you have a map? i know last year i came in around 1:30 pm on thursday and ended up in dr rumnack or something, by a line of trees. pretty much a straigh, 10 minute walk to the ferris wheel. nice spot.
We are along the eastern treeline in some nice shade for morning sleep.
i'm looking at the 2010 map and don't see a pod 2 anywhere. its gotta exist. from looking at this, i'd say anything that's not bfe are pods 3, 4, 6, 7, basically anything south of bushy branch. if the maps as same as last year, and you're by pods 8 and 9, you got a bit of a walk.
Nah we walked to the arch... 10 minutes or so. Eastern treeline. Maybe the worst neighbors ever. Everyone hates them right now.
Pod 2 from the new map from the main stage appears to be behind and to the right of VIP. Right behind VIP.
judging by the 2010 map that seems to be an excellent spot. are you able to tell how full that camp or surrounding areas are? any one on-site wanna do me/us a favor by walking around and checking the areas by the ferris wheel and arc?
According to 511 @ midnight,"east bound exits 111, 114, 117 are closed. All event traffic must use exit 127. Entrance ramp to 24 W @ 114 closed. Backed up between exits 111-114. 55 is very heavy. Entering the festival from interstate is best option."
Just talked to a cop on the side of 55 (close to the left turn onto ragsdale rd) and he said they are indeed trying to route traffic off of 24. He wouldn't say any other details though.
I hate to drop more bad news on this thread, but according to the new map, they have added camping to the extreme northeast. North of the Northeast tollbooths. Pod 11 looks like a loooonnnng walk, particularly from camp Stewie Griffin.
From 7:40 to 9:30 things moved consistently - I moved about 3 miles Since 9:30 we have moved a few hundred feet
This is interesting. We went in the back way to get our credentials about 9:30, and all the traffic we saw was moving right along. Around 10 PM we left and the traffic situation had changed drastically...bumper to bumper. i wonder what happened, aside from a bunch of people showing up at the same time...
I'm leaving in the morning, and should arrive in Manchester around Noon. Based on what I'm reading, is there any ANY shot that I'll be able to get to Tent Only/Camping only? Or am I going to be stuck walking 1hr each way lol?

They screwed us all - the 24 entrance (Exit 112) is closed. Everyone left on 24 is now crawling around to the back entrance A's well. This was very, very, poorly organized.
Just got signal on the phone we've been on I-24 since 8:30 and traffic isn't moving. Hopefully we make it in by tomorrow...this is ridiculous. Maybe traffic will be gReat for everyone tomorrow coming in though
We're about 50 feet past exit 117 headed westbound. They're not letting anyone take that exit anymore. FWIW, got in line at 11:00 central, at around exit 127 I think.
If the sun comes up before I get inside I'm going to regret leaving early. Nothing like spending 13 hours driving, excited about finally getting there, only to sit in line for hours on end. Bonnaroo does it to me every time.

I'm still in line on 24 . . . Except they kept the line going right past exit 112. I'm nearly at mile 111, but we arent moving and I can't see where this line is going. I seriously have no idea when ill be parked or where they are taking us exactly.
This is insane - I'm shocked, angry, but mostly just upset that this is really ruining the carefully laid plans of several thousand people.
This is going to get ugly soon - several cars near me are nearly out of gas
Worse still - there are guard rails off the shoulder here, which makes it too narrow for a car. Several vehicles are partially in the road. Im really worried a semi is going to plow into someone
